Career

VfB Stuttgart

Beck made his Bundesliga debut on 11 February 2006 against Arminia Bielefeld.[1] Five days later he experienced his European debut with a substitute appearance in the intermediate round of the UEFA cup against the Middlesbrough. He scored his first goal for Stuttgart on 27 October 2006 against Bayer Leverkusen which resulted in a 1–0 win for Stuttgart.[2]


Hoffenheim

On 4 July 2008 he moved to 1899 Hoffenheim.[3]

International

Beck was called up on 5 February 2009 for the Germany national football team and made his debut against Norway in Düsseldorf.[4]

His largest international success was the gain of the UEFA European Under-21 Championships 2009 in Sweden under manager Horst Hrubesch. He scored the only goal against Italy U21 to send Germany to the final. He played the full 90 minutes against England U21 in the final and helped keep a clean sheet in the 4-0 win.

    If De Ceglie is out for months, we're going to need an LB too. I wonder if this will make Marotta hold off on his deal for a RB and spend on a LB this January.

    I hope we can get both :( Beck and Zeigler sound realistic.
