Let’s say Ronaldo and Morata both are on fire, like we know they can be, through the CL knockouts and we somehow scrape a win through their clutch goals and good fortune at the back... And we finish out of top 4 in Serie A.

So we would qualify for next year’s CL in this circumstance. Do we bring Pirlo back?
If we win it? Of course

I was back him up but this is too much.... Frabotta with Ramsey in that flank covering CR7 was utterly stupid. Second half, How come he couldn't see how bad Garbagetta was? he should have put Demiral, Kulu and Mckennie in from the very beginning

2nd goal came, not any change after a while and even Frabotta realized how bad he was and he took him out himself

ffs he really now needs to cut this shitty formation.

this formation only works when you have proper wing backs and a proper prime vidal in midfield. this midfield is shit and can't hold possession or win balls.

we have no left wing backs, and chiesa is wasted not playing as a winger instead of a wing back.

just play a normal 4-3-3. stop the experiment.

This is how the process will go: Agnelli will ask his friend Nedved what to do. Nedved will ask Buffon. Buffon will ask Chiellini. Chiellini will ask Bonucci.

And there you go. The spiral downwards.

It was a 4-3-3 but without a midfield and a left back

What worries me the most is the system. It is amateur level stuff and Pirlo seems obsessed with it because it was his thesis.
Obviously he is under 23 coach Agnelli thought Pirlo would turn out to be like Zidane for real Madrid

- - - Updated - - -

they are not supposed to run the club mate, it's all on agnelli. i lol'd when i read those rumors in the italian press (la veritá of the 30th december, i have the article somewhere, it was quoted by a bunch of sites including calciomercato and tuttojuve iirc) about aa wanting to manage ferrari, losing interest in juve and getting annoyed by the financial difficulties in football, but it makes sense. firing marotta, firing allegri, appointing sarri and pirlo all were terrible calls. the only one that made sense was sacking sarri, but he should have picked a much more experienced coach instead of pirlo.

this is the least organized juventus defense that i can remember. even delneri had an excuse: he had shit players. even a generic 4-3-3 with rock solid defense and "let chiesa, morata and cr counter" would be a revolution at this point.
But there must be some reason why we are hesitant in approaching Allegri maybe simone Inzaghi is available

I agree, but it’s hard to imagine us finishing outside top 4 and thinking the season was a success even with winning CL. Of course, after 25 years with no CL trophy, it would be a stunning success. But that lack of top 4 alongside it would feel strange.
Oh you said outside top 4...

Yeah idk about that, that would mean we don't improve at all. A CL win in such circumstances would be a la Di Matteo.

I say unless we risk miss making top 4, give him til the end of the season then see. No coach is gonna come in now and win the title except maybe Allegri.

He’s obviously not ready but would sacking him at this point in the season do any good? the new guy would need just as much time that’s assuming if it all works out.

Besides who would we realistically replace him with? No big names I’m sure.

We made a huge mistake signing Sarri, then a second with Pirlo and giving him the boot in the middle of the season could be a third.

Idk maybe it’s better to accept this season will suck, covid/Injuries playing a big part as well, and just see it through.

I could be wrong though and keeping Pirlo could be even more damaging like us missing a CL spot and that CL money. I’m on the fence on this one :boh:

Get Gasperini - He would make our attack look much better.
Get Inzaghi - We must sign a star midfielder or he will not succeed.
Get Pep - If he can bring KDB with him...

I was of the opinion that we should see the season out. But with what I'm watching recently, there's no guarantee we manage top 4. Our back line is completely unorganized. We could lose multiple matches very quickly.

So you have to balance what potential Pirlo might have long-term vs. literally missing the UCL next year.

I also believe that any basic, professional coach could immediately save our season with a switch to a normal 4 man backline. So just pick anyone at this point.
