man, i love pirlo, but this task is well beyond his paygrade, and the busy schedule with plenty of old, not physical enough players doesn't help too much either. team rarely works as a unit, this goes way beyond tactical preparation. leadership is not something you can learn from the textbooks, and we learn it the hard way: we do lack fighters on the pitch. de ligt and ronaldo are simply not enough.

and i see why pirlo wants a striker during this winter mercato: we don't score enough. too bad two of our strikers are easily among the 3 of our best players. we need creativity from the back, and if anyone, pirlo himself should definitely know that.

Really? We lost the likes of Matuidi, Higuain and Pjanic, but got Arthur, Kulu, Morata and Chiesa instead. I would say that’s an obvious upgrade.

Though i agree the team as a whole is a mess, but that was the case under Sarri too.
