I feel he didnt get enough ball and possession, we know he could do so much with more possession,I felt that Prandelli asked the team to play more counter attacking after Spains goal.. Pirlo and Marchi should have more possession and the back play less long balls.

True,I did see that Italy were really having a hard time in the middle,but the back played so many long balls after the 70th minute,not using Maggio/Giac enough to open up space, Motta is a very good passer,but he cant bully the midfield to give more time and space for Pirlo to do his work,I think with De Rossi coming back to the mid,we will see a lot more of Pirlo and Marchi with more forward runs.
