Conte: Jorginho followed Pirlo everywhere, I thought he was going to follow him into the toilets at one point!

It was indeed an unusual view. I once saw it in La Liga, when one player followed Xavi the same way Jorginho followed Pirlo today. It's basically the same as watching a 10 vs 10 match.

I've never seen Pirlo completely marked out of the game like today! He was there today just for the corners and that last free kick before he was subbed.

Pirlo looks to be on his last legs. Someone like Xabi can't come soon enough...

I do get a feeling Pirlo will pick things up at some stage during the season though, one last hurrah!

Like Salv said, he seems to have gone straight to the locker room. The media, Gazetta I think, saying that he disrespected his teammates by not sitting on the bench and cheering them on. :D while Conte played down the incident saying he didn't notice it.

If there is even a slight possibility of a rift here, I wouldn't blame Conte in this case, coz Everytime he has subbed Pirlo off in the last 3 games, he has been right to do so.

Pirlo hates it when a player is there solely to block him out of the game. I remember Andre Schembri did it for Malta against Italy, and Pirlo wrote around 3 pages on him in his autobiography!

Although its also nice when they show some humility and don't project that their concerns are bigger than those of the team. It seems he went straight to the locker room even in the last game he was subbed in. If any of this is true, then not cool.

Quag went straight to the dressing room on being subbed? Oh no, wait, he mouthed off at Alessio, the single incident you have of his track record in what, 3 and a half seasons here? I don't want to make this another Quag tangent, but you have to be aware that I'm talking about Pirlo who is viewed as one of the pillars/leaders of the team (on the pitch and in the dressing room). The consequences, if any of this is true, can have a negative effect on his rapport with the coach and teammates, who will then challenge the authority of the coach.
