Suddenly Pirlo, Xavi and iniesta are not good enough and barca and Juve have a creativity problem because both teams were out-played by Bayern.
But its true that if Pirlo has another Attacking Midfielder or SS who can be creative and get pass through players with determination, he will be much more effective and be even greater for us

It's not only that, we're playing a much more static game than last season. Pirlo was thriving last season due to our movement, especially when we used the 4-3-3.

Pirlo's game declined similarly at Milan after 2007 when Sleedorf became slow and they did not replace Cafu and Shevchenko, who provided a lot of movement.

Pirlo is at his best when there is a lot of movement. However, he is slower than he was before even although he has never been quick. Looks like age is taking his toll on him.

I'm still very happy to have him but we will have to use him less next season and use Pogba in his place more often.

Treq said it!

In our current formation we really don't exploit Pirlo's finest qualities because our strikers, who claim to run an awful lot, never really threaten the space behind the defenders and it would take a bull's eye pass to play guys like Matri and Vuci into space behind the defenders. Licht and Asamoah are both working hard as fuck but they take too much time to get forward on the counter (because of their defensive duties) when Pirlo's on the ball so we hardly ever play wide on these occasions unless Vuci drags left which really doesn't help much anyways.

tbh i don't even think he lost his form at all. we just screwed it up as my fellas said above. get wingers and this guy will be a great as ever. imagine him in team like bayeren with 2 wingers like robben and ribery.. people got to understand that our attack is just not good at all. we will fight the best next year like we did this year.. and we already saw what's the difference we need some players upfront who can do something and hold the ball. our attackers can't make simple 1-2 for god sake.. it's always the midfielders who scores for us.

Marchisio's bursts from midfield (on his good days) allowed Pirlo to play him long balls over the defense of opponents.
