Who cares dude? At least that money is better spent than on the likes of Martinez who cost 12m and then some. Im not against this signing under the circumstances. In fact I welcome it, seeing who else were linked with. And who else we have.

Juventus sign AC Milan's Andrea Pirlo on a three-year contract - report
It has been reported that veteran AC Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo has signed for the Turin giants on a free transfer

Juventus have signed veteran Italian international midfielder Andrea Pirlo from AC Milan on a three-year contract, reports from Italy suggest.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the player's agent met representatives of the Turin club to discuss terms, and an agreement has been confirmed.

The transfer of the 31-year-old has been the subject of much speculation, with the player out of contract at the Serie A champions come the summer.

It will be a new experience for the ex-Inter and Brescia playmaker, as he has spent the last ten seasons with the Milanese club, making 24 appearances for Massimiliano Allegri's side in 2010-11.

Juve are set to miss out on Champions League football for the second year running, and big moves are expected when the transfer window reopens in the summer to get back in contention for the Scudetto.

The signature of Pirlo could cast doubt over a bid to sign on-loan midfielder Alberto Aquilani, who is set to return to Liverpool at the end of the season.

I don't hate this move.

He's not the player he once was, but a change of scenery could do him well.

At least he brings some class and dignity on the pitch. As well as the ability to make simple passes. (Looking at you, Aquaman)

4 mil per season for him is kinda alot, hopefully its less than that. We need to spend more money on other positions.

Friend that gets some info from his friend which has some insider infos :)D) told me that we offered him 2,6 millions/year + bonuses for 2 years with an option to extend contract for another year and it's up to Pirlo to take it. Since no one else offered him a contract he doesn't really have a choice....
