Three pieces of important business were on the agenda for Andrea Agnelli today, with Andrea Pirlo’s departure for New York City accompanied by contract renewals for Massimiliano Allegri and Claudio Marchisio.

Sat alongside Marchisio, who has penned a five-year contract until 2020, the club president began this afternoon’s press conference at Juventus Stadium by paying tribute to the “unforgettable” moments provided by Pirlo during his four years in the black and white stripes.
He then moved on to discuss the extra year’s extension handed to Massimiliano Allegri, an agreement that keeps the Tuscan tactician with the club for the next two seasons, before concluding with words of praise for the man who is living the dream of every boyhood Juventino.

Here is a selection of his thoughts:

Pirlo

“We’ve all read the words written by Andrea on Facebook. His was a sincere thank you that included mentions for both myself and everyone who works for Juventus. I can only repay the thanks, given the immense fondness I have for the man and player. We’ve enjoyed four unforgettable years with Andrea and he’ll always be made to feel at home here. We wish him all the best with his new adventure in America.”

Allegri

“Allegri has renewed his contract with Juventus. He’s our leader and guided us through an extraordinary season, shaping the team and taking them on to a whole new level.”

Marchisio

“Claudio’s is the dream that every kid wants to have. He joined Juve at the age of seven, rose through the academy ranks, became part of the first team and has also worn the captain’s armband. Claudio’s already a legend: his shirt is in the museum and he’s up there alongside the Bianconeri greats.”

“The rest is history”

“Four years ago we were in my office and Claudio told me with a great deal of honesty that he wouldn’t want to be one of the few players who didn’t win anything at Juventus. I replied that I didn’t want to be the only Agnelli who didn’t bring any silverware to the club. The rest is history.”

He's hardly a photoshoot kind of guy, Gianni loved all that side of things, the glitz and image.
Kind of comes with the territory also a somehwat to have that poise and flamboyance. But of course, presidents have their own personalities and quirks. Andrea for how extroverted and well spoken he is, kind of doesn't have that swag and flamboyance, he's perhaps a bit more bookish in that sense.

It's only a matter of time before Lapo is the main protagonist of a bdsm sex scandal IMO. The only thing I'm curious about is his role, dom/sub? Who knows?
