Why ya'll blaming me bitches? All the reports point to Juventus wanting to sell if a monster bid arrived. And I have a big suspicion we'll try getting Candreva if that happens :D

Agnelli's interview on Bloomberg about Juve, calciopolli, Italian football...

"We're buyers, not sellers."

http://www.vecchiasignora.com/topic...-situazione-del-calcio-italiano-e-calciopoli/
Andrea Agnelli believes the Bianconeri’s Asia-Pacific tour will provide the ideal opportunity for the team to connect with their foreign fanbase and drive the club’s long-term internationalisation strategy forward.

Speaking exclusively to Bloomberg from Singapore, the club president began:

We’ve had an interesting four years in which there’s been a large-scale turnaround of the company both on sporting and managerial levels.

One of the last pillars of this strategy is the internationalisation of the brand. We went to Tokyo last year and are doing a lot of digital activity in Asia but it’s nice to be here physically and strengthen our bond with the fans in person.

The incredible welcome Juventus were treated to upon last night’s arrival in Indonesia was proof that distance truly knows no bounds when it comes to passion for the black and white stripes.
Such enthusiasm does not go unnoticed, and Agnelli confirmed the club’s intention to bring fans increasingly closer to the action through the means of digital media.

We’re the most supported team in Italy with 14 million fans and have a further 180 million across the globe to reach out to. Whilst they’re close to us in terms of passion and dreams, they remain physically distant from the action. The only way to reach them is through the digital world, and that’s an opportunity we continue to explore.

As far as on-field matters are concerned, the Juventus president says he is confident the team is in a good position to reward such great support with another campaign to remember.

It’s been an interesting window for us with the likes of Patrice Evra, Alvaro Morata and Roberto Pereyra joining to bolster a team that won three successive titles. We want to reconfirm ourselves in Italy and be as good as possible in Europe – that’s where we belong.

Concluding with a thought on the current FIGC presidential elections, Agnelli expressed his desire for a common goal to be established in order to allow Italian football to develop for the benefit of all concerned :

He added: When you look at Italy there’s no technical plan or collective idea on where the system should be going. We’re currently running the elections and have one candidate who talks about players eating bananas rather than outlining his proposals to move us forward. There’s a lot that needs to be done and we should be looking ahead rather than dwelling on the past.

According to some members here mgmt are pushing Vidal out of the club, they are desperate to sell and replace him with Candreva.
 Really dude?! FFS! At least if you are going to take a not so subtle dig or aim a sideswipe, be accurate in the information you present ;)

I don't think anyone has said that, people are more pissed due to the fact that we haven't made that big investment we expected.
:agree: Thank you. Finally, someone who actually fucking understands.

He really is a great president though. Young, smart, modern, realistic and ambitious. If only the FIGC and other clubs in this piece of shit league shared the same mentality. Then Italian football (and us being the biggest club) would benefit massively.

It's very disheartening that there is only one other president out there (Pallotta) that shares the same ideals and forward thinking attitude for the league that Agnelli does.

I highly doubt we were ever truly in for Aguero or RVP. Maybe made some initial contacts etc, but would have baulked straight away when looking at their cost.

Sanchez should and could have been achievable this summer. But then there goes the supposed squad depth we need, so it is a double edged sword (I think thats how that saying is meant to be used)
ahhh this is it

its like some people here on the island...they have the nicest flashiest cars but cant put food in their refridgerator

We neeed understudy's for the switch to wingers we make in the future

We had 2 starting forwards and giovinco, aka no bench, we needed bench, and preferably 1 younger striker

We still need a 5th striker, and we could do with a pure centreback that isnt making mistakes like caceres or ogbonna when they play there, and is more physical then bonucci

People still believing we have no depth?

Evra was the only depth we needed.
also, Evra isnt depth, he is a starter when we field a back4

One thing I think is great about having another coach now is this opens us up for flexibility and unpredictablity. The entire world knew after Conte's first season that the team walking out of the tunnel was going to be a 352 going through the same motions. Had the league had been stronger we wouldn't have seen back to back to back titles I think (yes, it's an opinion).

We have a team for a 352 which we all know but with Evra/Coman we have something else in the bag to throw at our opponents and that will make us less predictable and more frustrating to play against.

He seems to have the right set of ideas. Since he took over the club's finances improved drastically and tour in Asia, hopefully every year from now on, is another great move.
