i wont be surprised to see major names leaving the club this year...even players like grosso, giovinco, melo, iaquinta, trezeguet, buffon, grygera...
remember that this is the third year we promised buffon for a change and a cup...i think what zac did to buffon in the last game i mean subbing him out, just did the cherry on the cake!!!

The Agnelli family has done far more for the club than anybody else.

So I wouldn't be saying that.
Agnelli family yes, but what Andrea has done for Juve is nada, and what Bettega has done for Juve as a local legendary player through our academy and then as a a successful director (albeit in a trio) , is ALOT.

agreed...Andrea has done precisely DICK, there's only so much credit you can take for having a beloved second name...and firing Bettega?! deplorable decision.

Well, I'd say showing Blanc and Secco the door is a great start, however.

Is any of these speculation been confirmed?
Secco has to leave, but I wouldn't mind keeping Blanc for finances and Bettega as his pre-2006 role.

How can you spastics criticize Andrea Agnelli before he has even become our President??? Blanc is still in charge.

As for Bettega...what has he done since returning to our ranks??? And what was his job???

'Andrea has done precisely DICK' surely is a contender for moron of the decade???

He has not yet had the chance to 'do dick'...so how he can be mocked is beyond me...

I think your Agnelli argument can be used on Bettega as well. What has he had the chance to do?

Got sidelined with Gentile against Zac.

Did manage to get Candreva in - prob the most succesfull transfer the last two years. What kind of magic do you expect from him, when Laurel and Hardy running the show.

someone who doesn't know what Bettega did for Juve is surely the moron of the decade.

Everybody knows what he did before 2006. I think poet is referring to the period since his return in January which to me seems more and more like it was a bit of name dropping to ease the mounting pressure from fans to have sumting done during a tough period. Put a fan favourite (& prob. the weakest of the triade) to ease tensions. I know I may be & hope that I am, but that is the conclusion I am starting to form. The end of the summer will give a clearer picture.

It could be argued that he was not given time to do anything with Blanc and Secco still there, but then why appoint him in the first place? Why not wait til now when we are preparing largescale changes?

The alternative is that he was brought in to start the house clearing for the summer. To be someone put in to attract the people to replace Blanc & Secco. & even so, the appointment of Andrea as president would have made it possible for that to have been done anyways.

Just my 2 cents.

But thats the thing, I'm not critizing Andrea, I'm eager to see what he can do. But its just a fact, he has to prove his worth, besides being Agnelli, he has had nothing to do with Juve alltogether. I cant see how one would automatically value him over Bettega like it sounded like some did, yeah Bettega isnt fired even if its speculation. But its worth saying nontheless, Bettega has done ALOT for Juve, as one of our all time legends (one of the few to be totally Juve through and through, from Academy, Boniperti and Ale came as teenagers), and as a successful Director in a successful era (even if he is not the decisive factor for it, even if IMO Moggi as the show off he is, was given too much credit), who knows what this club is about.

Yes we dont know what he has had time to do yet since his return, or been able to influence (we know he didnt want the trainwreck that is Zaccheroni), IMO they appointed him for PR reasons first and foremost, to appease us fans, and be respectable and experienced face out for Juve in the footballing word, plus his web of internaitonal connections in that world (Liverpool talks been mainly through Bettega's connection from what I heard).

Blanc in comparison doesnt even have the respect of the frigging Siena President... (that telefon quote mocking Blanc said alot about our standing as a club since this management...).IMO that says alot in itself of Bettega's worth, he has the respect of Juventini in general, and his esteem in the footballing world. He has earned that. That is all there is to it really in terms of who he is and what he has meant to Juve (even if we really cant truly know of the innerworkings of the club and everyones competence).

I'm not saying fuck off to Andrea to like Ahmed (though I know what Ahmed means despite how he expresses it), but yeah in the case of between him and Bettega. I know which one I prefer, until proven otherwise, ofcourse. I would find it corious if he was fired. And the reasons for it. I would find it a bad sign if its yet another sign of a Juve faithful who is discouraged by the new management (as Tardelli, Deschamps, Zoff etc have been, with their comments about them).

I'm going to trust Andrea here. I know he has the family name but little experience in the game but because of that name and what it carries he is going to have some damn good informants aiding his journey. Now that the Agnelli name is back at the helm, I can see him ensuring the name does not lose its potency.

Learning from Blanc, he is going to make sure the fact that he doesn't know much about the game by bringing in people that do. Marrota may not be an allstar but given the last eight years at Samp and the journey he brought them too, I think he will do just fine given the increase in resources he will be able to have.

Andrea is working quickly to make the adjustments up high to ensure filter down effect makes the impact needed to get us in the right direction. I hope he keeps Bettega(which I think he will), Marotta to do some nice transfers, hopefuly a guy to keep us in the green(perhaps Blanc?) and a coach to lead the charge.

I'm fucking excited for this summers mercato. I think things are going to move fast and pray none of our internationals get a serious injury in SA.
