Would Cambiaso like to go? Yes. Is the relationship with Juve as solid as before? No. Once these two things are established, the fundamental step (while waiting for a real transfer, and not through intermediaries): a minimum offer of 60 million plus a lot of bonuses will be needed. Maybe it's not necessary to get to 80, in any case the evaluations will be made based on the need to possibly retain a player who has completely opened up to City. But the discussion doesn't change, we can summarize: Juve are in no hurry, Cambiaso will play tomorrow and a lot of money will be needed.

A lot of money and 60 million doesn't make sense. We should have asked for a proverbial 100 million and let City sweat it out.

Juventus wants €80M for Andrea Cambiaso, Manchester City are studying the proposal it will present to Juve. The Bianconeri are now waiting for the official offer. —

80M for a fullback is truly insane money.

If this was pre-2018 JJ, I would've said no instantly. But this is a mid-table JJ with financial issues and there's a dire need to reinforce multiple positions.

This club is really struggling and can't say no to such crazy offers.

All of this talk would be shut out immediately if we had competent owners. Thats the root of the problem. Terrible leadership at the top.

The current management, who I don't think will be here in say 5 years are costing us the long-term future of the club. Cornerstone players are leaving because of them.

How many more reasons are needed to change management??

Meh. Let's just face the fact that City is levels and billions above us.

At this point we're to re-build a big chunk of our squad. I don't fancy selling our better players (not recently) and getting a big bid should be taken into consideration. A smart club (not us?) would take that as an advantage with good scouting system.
We just spent a hundred and whatever million in summer. The rebuild should be almost finished by now. I still believe these players are far far better than they are showing now and it's coaches our scouting department needs to focus on

Apart from Cambiaso which appears to be an exceptional situation especially with the numbers involved, who else are those cornerstone players you are referring to?

We've got what? 3 or at most 5 players on the squad that shouldn't be sold no matter what. (Actually, I'd struggle to come up with 5 names.)

So it does make perfect JJ sense to sell one of those few players asap.

Is the relationship with Juve as solid as before? No.
Do we even have players left whose relationship with the club is "solid"?

It makes sense what you are saying. However, we are not making logical decisions. If Yildiz keeps improving, he will be a goner summer 2026.

Ofc he will, but if crazy offer arrives and for Yildiz overpaying should be something around 150m if he keeps on improving.
And yes, we will sell him because that's how this club works and it has worked like this for years.

It’s Yildiz and maybe Bremer but let’s see how he’s doing after his ACL other than that they can all fuck off

I don't understand? I posted recently Juve didn't a have nickel to their name (slang saying) thinking we have become an 1A level team in that regard. Meaning losing players to insufficient funds available? Though a poster replied that we have plenty of money, just not spent well. I consider both Yildiz and Bremer (before injury) as MUST KEEP players and though not many goals conceded this season, sure miss him!

So I ask anyone/everyone, and if want to give % wise greatly appreciated, on is it more 1) plenty $$$/not well spent or 2) not enough $$$/plus not well spent? Though last specific poster I ask for %s, gave me nothing. How we would let Yildiz go IMO says 2)
