Tek could have taken the arm band any time in the past season when all our regular captains were injured, but he didn't. I don't think he is interested.
Nor will he be here for longer than another season, max two, basically same as Danillo, so overall it would be very short sighted to even consider him.

Next year in CL... someone has to prepare him for it. He has a winning mentality where he takes a lot of chances to bend on the rules. In Italy you can get away with a lot of things but it won't work in CL unless you play for RM/Barca. So he'll get a lot of yellows from frustration unless someone really prepares him for it.

I really like Cambiaso and it will be really interesting to see how Motta utilize him.

The formation Italy used last night could potentially be a really good fit for Cambiaso too, either as a LM or RM he can slot right in, however the main obstacle is that Di Marco and Chiesa are currently the nailed on starters on those two available spots, but could easily still see him make an positive impact by playing the role of a supersub in this tournament.

Andrea Cambiaso is back.

After the commitments of the European Championships, Cambiaso has joined the Bianconeri squad and is hard at work at their training camp in Germany. According to him, he is more charged up than ever. “I'm happy, it’s good to be back here. I'm very excited, renewing with Juve was a no-brainer for me, I'm the happiest guy in the world. Thiago Motta? I already knew him from before, he has a great mentality. He is highly motivated, with a great work ethic, drive and way of thinking. He is demanding and that's a good thing. We are a young team and I think he will help us a lot.

SEASON'S GOALS

“At a minimum, our goal is to reach the Champions League, but we will take everything on a match-by-match basis. That's how Motta is. He puts maximum effort into every task, even friendly matches. We will have to do the same. We need to approach each challenge with enthusiasm and a fighting spirit. I can say that we will give it our all. The new guys are also integrating very well. They work hard, they are hungry and they want to improve and train.

VERSATILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY

“At the moment, the coach is ‘using’ me more on the left as a full-back, but I've been in the group for two days now and I'm versatile, I can play wherever I'm asked. I feel a sense of responsibility every time I take to the pitch. It's a positive thing, it builds self-esteem and the desire to do my best, so I like having pressure on me."
