Created the only real opening in the entire game that wasn’t a counter attack when he spun his man, ran at the back line and laid the ball off the Koop, who skied it.

Yes he’s a bit lazy defensively and doesn’t inspire confidence when defending 1 v 1 to the point Yildiz has had to always track back to double on the winger for the past 2 games, but that’s something we’ll have to accept with what he offers going the other way.

We paid for Koop and Douglas Luiz and Thuram only to desperately need Cambiaso to be our main man in midfield because of tactics. Ok

I don’t mind him shifting inside the midfield every now and then but currently he is put almost in a regista role for majority of the game, ofc almost everything goes through him when the system is set up in such a way.

Currently the best player on our roster. Can play in all 3 phases. D M and F. Dude is worth a lot of $$$ in my opinion. His best position is actually RB. Deadly cutting to his left yet dominant foot is actually his right. Beautiful attitude as well . Future captain. I get Zambrotta vibes.

Cambiaso:

"It will be great to play in this stadium. We know to expect a fiery atmosphere, but this will be an extra incentive for us.
Regardless of tomorrow's game, we must continue to work well as we are doing. We are pursuing a path with dedication and we will try to continue on this path.
It will be fundamental to keep the ball to try to put them in difficulty. Physically we are fine and playing many games for us is a way to continue to find the perfect chemistry. Tomorrow we will want to play the perfect match.
Will we be different than in the league? Let's say that every game is different because it's the opponent that changes. I don't think there is a Juventus in Serie A and one in the Champions League. It will always be us, with our ideas.
I am proud to play in the Champions League. The first match against PSV Eindhoven was really very exciting for me."

Mixed performance by him with some passive and sluggish moments but ultimately pulled his shit together when it mattered and put up some crucial blocks and got an assist too.

His defending on the first goal is perplexing. I believe that he thinks Kalulu was coming to help closing down Sesko for him and that's why he slowed down. But in that situation you have to keep marking your man because there's no second opponent around.

Sluggish and naive. Bad defending habit that needs coaching.

But overall good performance.

Am I the only one who thinks he looks way better as a RB when he can use his left foot to cut in more in to the pitch?
