Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli is out of Monday’s Italy-Nigeria and at risk for Livorno after an injury against Germany.

The centre-back limped off after clutching his thigh during last night’s 1-1 international friendly at San Siro.

He was sent back to Turin rather than make the trip to London with the rest of the Azzurri side for Monday night’s game against Nigeria.

“Andrea Barzagli, who left the field towards the end of last night’s Italy v Germany game due to muscular discomfort in his left thigh, has undergone an MRI scan this afternoon in Turin which has revealed a pectineus muscle strain.

“The extent of the injury will be assessed over the coming days,” read a statement from the Juventus website.

It therefore remains to be seen whether he can recover in time for next weekend’s Serie A encounter with Livorno.

Injury's nothing serious, if he doesn't play is just to don't risk him for Champions League.

And of course against Livorno we're playing with a back 4 in a 4-3-3 (possibly we'd have done it even with him), and I've the impression that it is returning to be our main schedule again.

Would be a bit worried if he missed Livorno, although it sounds like it isn't anything too serious.

If he missed it what would we play?

Peluso - Chiellini - Caceres - Licht?

Aside from the spectacularly incompatible centre halves...
What do you mean? One gives the ball away to their striker and then the other kung fu kicks the striker in the face and then they switch. Seems compatible to me.
