No one is seeing signs of a possible decline here? Barzagli hasnt been very good since Euros.

Chiellini is also very worrying.

Must keep an eye on those guys and start getting out of the 3 CBs addiction.
Yeah he is becoming increasingly error prone and beatable. But still a top defender. His time as a key player may be up soon though

Yeah he doesn't seem as quick anymore. Shame about Benatia still having these constant injury issues because he looks like the perfect replacement.

Chiellini always takes a bit of time to get in to top form from the start of the season.

Barzagli is literally the least of our worries.

Besides, when exactly has he shown his decline except for the Inter game?
And even in the Inter game it's debatable to say the least.

It's a subtle performance decrease, it's been some time now. Doesnt qualify as age decline yet, but could be a sign. Him and Chiellini havent been at the expected standard, that's for sure. But they have also been exposed because of poor defensive input from the new midfield.

Nah he had one of his worst games yesterday. First time i recall he was beaten numerous time one on one by that Empoli attacker. And he was shaky all around in the first half.

I remember he got rinsed by Pucciarelli once, but it was a very open game with a stupidly relaxed approach from ourselves, defenders will always be more exposed in these circumstances. When it comes to the way we play naturally our team unit is tight and everyone in a defensive position looks better. Can't have it both ways.

gosh, put any CB at the RB position and he would be beaten at least couple of times by Pucciarelli. Obviously Barza is getting older, but overreacting much. Alex Sandro and Pjanic lost Croce(I think) couple of times in far more dangerous situations, should be we worried already.
