Such a pleasant surprise this guy has been. Really didn't expect much from him when he signed, but now he's one of our only hopes for a top four finish.

it's great that after getting Sorensen and Bonucci, we have acquired a promising young Italian talent in Barzagli.

it's amazing what a change of scenery and a bit of confidence can do to a player. it can turn an average player into a great one, for a period of time.

Our defense has never looked so solid, since the Capello era, it really helps that it is now consisted by decent players in every position.
Esp the wing backs, Sorn+Chie are the kind of assistants that every CB would wish for, they give them confidence and help them to focus.

Thats why i ve been insisting for years to buy decent wing backs, instead of buying a LB, we turned Chie into a LB again.
I dont think that Marotta had that in mind, so kudos to DN who figured that out and took the maximum from Barza.
One thing is for sure, If Molinaro was our LB and Chie was alongside Barza, Barza wouldnt look so good...

Anyways, he seems much better than Bonucci atm and considering we paid with cash and players, about 20+mil for Bonucci, whilst only lost about 10mil (as price cut for Diego) for Barza, it seems a wiser choice!

Of course, there are six years of exp between them and thats the most important thing for a CB.
However Bonucci will peak when Barza is about to retire, so there is plenty of space for Juve to benefit from their services.

 Nice words from a man who is known to always shower negativity.
