Exactly, we are looking for a 3/4 defender now, I don't know how well Barzagli has done at Wolfsburg but I can't see how he could even be worse than who we had last season:

09-10: Chiellini, Cannavaro, Legrottaglie, Caceres, Grygera, Ariaudo

10-11: Chiellini, Bonucci, Legrottaglie, Barzagli, Grygera, Alcibiade

If we are in the market for Barzagli, then we should have just kept Cannavaro. Seriously. Even at his age.

No, i prefer Alcibiade or young CB as our 4th CB. I don't want us get stuck with Zebina, Brazzo, Grosso kind of situation like right now. Imagine if we buy him as 4th CB, and next year or 2 years later he still under contract with us, we will find it hard to offload him for various reason, wage for example..
