Diego and Gio failed? How did they fail? Both played in a shit team. They had the likes of Iaquinta and Amauri as their forwards. How could they resist failing? Really cowardly to put all of the blame on them. Gio didn't even get proper chance.

But I don't get this one thing. Why didn't we get a left winger if we were going to play 4-4-2? That's just stupid. Instead we decided buy Martinez, when that money could have been used on a left winger.

Agree IMO Diego was put in a team that was not just technically garbage but also tactically inept. He is more technically gifted than Krasic, by a long way. I wanted us to sign Silva/Hamsik as nedved replacement at the time. Hopefully we sign Pastore/Hazard in the mercato to rectify that error
