Porto chairman: Villas Boas will not leave Porto this summer.
See I hate when chairmans get involved with coaches or players decisions. Personally if the player or coach wants to leave the club then obviously there is a reason that makes him want to leave. If its for more money then obviously the player or coach can kiss it but if a club and project like Juve come around or say Chelsea for example come calling why would the coach not take the opportunity? when it comes to a better professional career move I dont think the chairman should get in his was because 2 thinks wrong can happen. 1 the coach wont have that sense of belonging to the club because he wants to leave, 2nd the coach can easily buy out his contract if he wants to.

I think Juventus would suite him greatly. Do I think he'll come? I dont know, its a toss up, while the board look at him as an option? depends on his wage demands and whether they have come to the realization Juventus is in a greater need of a foreign attacking presence on the bench.

Can't blame the chairman for wanting what is best for his club. Names like Villas Boas are the ones we should aim for not the crappy average coaches in serie A.

I agree with some guys here saying that Villas Boas will not leave his club this season. But even next season, i don't think we'll have a shot for this guy.

What logical reason could there be for a sane coach to leave a team he's had a fantastic season with, with whom he qualified for champions league, to go to a team like us that would barely make it to Europa League.

And I qualified the sentence with "sane coach" because of Del Neri...

We won't get him. Why? He's too young and not too familiar with Italy, probably how they're thinking. They want someone old and Italian who knows the league, I mean just look how amazing Del Neri's experience turned out.

VB: "I am proud of all the praise I am getting from Italy, but the credit goes to my players as I am just a normal coach who likes attacking football"

Also like Mark said yesterday, he confirmed that he has a release-clause.
