Yep. The NFL owners would be smart to sack him, wash their hands of this and get someone else in their who doesnt have such a toxic reputation. Goodell is just done. There has to be someone else qualified to take over who won't act like a despot and can handle these controversies with class and intelligence.

Exactly. They also need to figure out a more transparent and neutral way to investigate cheating allegations. This one man judge, jury an executioner isn't going to fly now. Maybe an NFL/NFLPA review board or something.

The judges decision surprised me because the NFLPA agreed to this setup when they signed the current collective bargaining agreement, but he obviously saw a huge flaw in the process and killed it. This could be a disaster for the NFL. Every player is going to sue when they get suspended.
