they better get him then, way to ruin whatever little momentum/confidence alex smith built over the last year

If they get him.

If they get him.

Yes, I said it twice

With that defense

and Frank Gore

and that Coaching Staff

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god oh my god.

The latest is that manning is asking the same terms from all teams interested.

It would be the same terms of the contract that he had in Indianapolis, and all three teams have agreed to those terms. The difference in the contracts would be injury clauses

So it's between Denver, San Fran, and Tennessee?
That is what it is looking like at this point.

Miami and Arizona were told to not try to pursue it any further.

Don't discount San Francisco as a viable option.

The pieces are in place for a Super Bowl contender. They just need that Quarterback

That's some Kennedy-Lincoln shit bro.
:D

I didn't even consider this, because I just thought Alex was Harbaugh's guy.

Their little bromance looks like it's headed for the rocks :D

Seriously though, there is a potentially ugly situation in all of this.

If they get him.

If they get him.

If they get him...

If they sign Manning, and pull Lloyd, or Manningham, this is fucking it. Davis, Crab, Moss, Lloyd/Manningham,Walker, Gore, & Hunter, who's going to be a good player. All of our starters are returning on defense. The young offensive line is on the way up (Gotta plug RG, still). Pro-bowlers at both kicking positions. We would finally have a badass aerial attack.

It's. been. so. long... since we had an elite pass offense.

What's our cap space like? Jesus!

Please, please, PLEASE, Lord, Please brainwash Peyton into choosing San Francisco, so he can give us 4-5 years of awesome. He deserves it. The fans deserve it. This just makes too much sense.

I am brewing some serious sticky, right about now.

Matthew, from what I understand and what I've heard, it was Peyton Manning himself who contacted the 49ers.

Also, I have heard that they made a contract offer to Brandon Lloyd

Sergio, I think my head might be about to explode. :D

I'm pretty sure I've checked NFL.com, espn, NFP, and PFT about 150 times already, and also managed to take a three hour after dinner nap. :D It's going to be tough waiting until Monday/Tuesday, to see how this plays out. So PFT is saying the 9 have about 23.5M in cap space. Not sure that's accurate, or if it includes Carlos' new deal.

So if this happens, which is still a huge long shot... who's getting cut? Are we going to rescind that franchise tag on Dashon? We're going to need to flush a contract or 3 to make this happen. I don't think we can start the season with Kilgore at RG.

Man, everything just got flipped on its head in 9er land.

Chris Meyers 4 year deal. Huge re-sign.

Time to give Jason Allen and Joel Dressen those deals. Though losing Dressen won't hurt us too much.
