I live in Dallas and I can testify how sorry those fans are now. They aren't fans, to them cowboys/mavs /rangers are social gatherings/topics used as excuses to hang out and douche it up

and now they celebrate because they didn't get shut out

but i'm still glad I'm not in TX for xmas

I saw something on ESPN that debated where that whole "America's Team" garbage came up in the first place.

They mentioned whether the Packers should be America's Team now, since the Cowboys have been irrelevant since the 1990s. The argument against was that most people like the Packers, and being America's Team requires a lot of hate and being the most nationally talked about team.

I always resented why the Cowboys could declare themselves "America's Team" -- I never voted for them. But unlike the Pack, they still generate a lot of hate. But like Juve, years of underperformance can turn hate and respect into sympathy.

And the Cowboys may not have much sympathy, but they're hardly relevant to playoff discussions for a generation now.

Jerry Jones coined that phrase to his team and it was a brilliant marketing brand. It was good for them while it lasted but without relevancy it's left inept

That nickname for the Cowboys has been around since the late 70's.

Anyway, that's not why I'm here.

Congratulations to a classy dude.

Mr. Drew Brees, you are now the single season NFL record holder for most yardage thrown in a season.

Well Deserved, and well earned kudos to you, sir.

hoping they will raise their concentration for the playoffs. They can bring it when they have to ... and are bothered to.
otherwise, yeah, it will be a short playoff experience :p
