for the good of the city and the fans, it was decided that the chicago bears disband and no longer participate in the NFL

Actually, when the Washington Redskins benched Donovan McNabb for Rex "Sexy Rexy" Grossman in the final plays against the Detroit Lions yesterday, all of Chicago recognized a day of silence and prayer in his honor. Especially after he fumbled and the Lions returned it for a touchdown.

Hence the Bears did not play.

It was a predictable result for Grossman. Even the commentator thought the move wasn't a good idea.

how come chicago didn't played?
Every team has one bye week a season, a week where they don't play. A maintenance week, basically.

Ahh... so that's what's happening with my 9ers this coming week...

Well of course he did... Rex Grossman is brutal, and he was cold (had he even taken a snap this season?), late in a close game. I didn't watch the game, but my reaction upon hearing that move was 'Shanahan needs a slap upside his head'.

He's a real good coach though, I would love him back in SF... but out of context (again, haven't reviewed anything) that decision just sounds so fucking stupid...

When you're coached by the great Belichick one day, and the suck-ass Brad Childress the next, it must be difficult to find any motivation. Moss is welcome to come play for Green Bay while Donald Driver is recovering (and play for our shitty Mike McCarthy).
