@ Sergio: YOU LIE!

Actually I was about to call that bastard.
See, I don't understand why you have this sort of witch hunt against me.

But, if this is something that you are going to do every chance you get, at least have the decency to let me know so that I can put you on my ignore list well in advance.

He gets mad when people don't do things by his rules. You should pick a new team in a different sport every month with absolutely no regional ties to the Providence area. :D

"Hey I was driving down the turnpike with my fratello Franky Sweet Peppers Pizzutto and I was drivin' and drivin' and I rolled up to these two heads. Two heads right on the Turnpike, ya know? So I called Mama Pado Frizzoli and told her, MA, I got these heads here, I think they rolled down from da towers. Hey MA I'll get Franky to snap a shot of this. Two heads right here, ya know?"

 sorry about your Niners man. The problem starts with the front office and trickles down to the coach and then to the players.

I just don’t think Branch is going to be the factor he was back in 04. He has done nothing in Seattle and I doubt he can just “turn it back on” even though he’s moving to a more pass happy offense.
Thanks, bro. I never expected the 9 to implode like this... really thought this year would be the beginning of another winning cycle (Maybe not super bowls, but consistent playoff births, etc.)

I think Branch is pretty much done. I suppose if I had to pick one QB to help resurrect his career though, it would be Brady. Still, I think I read that on top of the pick, he's set to make over 5M each of the next two years? Crazy.

I don't even know what to make of it anymore. I find it laughable that people are saying that Alex Smith has a lot of guts for coming back and playing the way he did when he was being threatened to be benched.

He should be playing as if his job is on the line, regardless of whether it actually is or not.

And Singletary has turned into a buffoon. I hate to see it because I like the guy, and his character and convictions. He just can't coach, and that is a bit of an issue in the NFL. But his conviction took a bit of a hit when he was talked into letting Smith finish the game out by Gore and Davis.

You're the coach, you have the final say. Make up your mind and stick with it.

It makes watching Monday Night Football even more painful when Jon Gruden is talking football, and he has forgotten more about the sport than most people know.
I'm almost too frustrated to even think about the problems in San Francisco.

I like coach Sing, but I've gotten sick of his pressers, sick of the excuses. He skirts a lot questions (often pertaining to Alex), or spews cliched Singletary diatribe - which is painfully predictable (although that's to be expected when the result is the same, over and over again. Asked the same questions, gives the same responses). He has no real contingency plan for the most important position on the team. Internally, there have been some serious organizational issues. Sing has no sensibility for modern offensive systems, and frankly, seems lost at times... seems like he's in over his head.

I've always tried really hard to like Alex. I've always wanted to back him, and as disturbing, or sickening as it is, I still want to back him. What can I say, apparently I'm a bit of a masochist.

Through 6 OC's, a couple serious injuries, a few head coaches, his best friend committing suicide... and on and on. The guy is smart (got a degree in economics in 2 years at Utah), he's a great athlete, and we paid out the ass for him. A serious investment. I want him to succeed.

But I think I'm finally done with Alex Smith. We have no other real option, and the season is all but over, so I'm in favor of letting him play it out. He would have to be absolutely spectacular for me to feel comfortable with him moving forward. As in Pro Bowl spectacular... and considering he leads the league with 9 interceptions...

Every time I think he's making progress, he chokes... usually at the worst possible time. Every time I think he's down and out, and it's time to move on, he puts together a few solid quarters, shows a couple flashes of that serious potential that helped make him the #1 overall pick, and it makes me think 'hmm, is the light going on here?'

I've had enough. He's pushing 6 years as a 9er, and as disjointed and shitty as they've been, 6 years is 6 years. He's been given a legitimate opportunity, and it hasn't worked out. It hasn't always been his fault, but that's life. Time for everyone to move on.

New QB plus a new coach, and I would suspect that this would look like a brand new team. And a damn good fucking team, at that. I can't believe how poor ball security has been in San Francisco this season. This team should easily be at least 3-2. At the very least 3-2. You just cant turn the ball over 4 and 5 times a game (or be careless in the last 2 minutes of the game, like Clements was in Atlanta) and expect to win. FUCK!

Too bad Favre didn't send those pics to little children.

They should lock that white trash away for life.
Whoa, I just read that about this, and that it's Jenn Sterger as well. Isn't that the smokin' hot ex-FSU cheerleader, who used to do campus update pieces on SI? Yeah, it is, I just googled it. Brett Favre is an idiot.

Let's see if Singletary has a brain and runs the no huddle, spread offfense for the rest of the season. It seems that is the only offense that Alex Smith knows what do with.
