Jim Schwartz conducts the most boring press conferences I've ever heard. He keeps the talking on the pitch, and that's probably a good thing in some respects. Others, not so much. I'd love to have a Mourinho in there mouthing off to everyone else.

I'm starting to wonder whether Stafford is the real solution. He may not be if he's always injured.

So that means we may have to look for somebody else in the draft. I'm not giving up on him, but it's something to think about.
Yeah, we'll see about that buddy. Injuries are really the problem right now... he needs continuity. I haven't seen much of him, but his skill set looks pretty good. Yeah, I was happy to watch a Lions game for a change!

He could never get into a rhythm because the o-lne was getting blown up from the first snap. It was impossible for the offense to ever get going.
I watched him throw an interception into triple coverage (with minimal/no pressure on him), pump and not properly tuck the ball for a fumble (pressure all around him), and lose track of the play clock in a key 3rd down spot.

The line wasn't great when I was watching (it was quite bad), which again, was just chunks between some work I was doing, but Eli didn't have his head on straight. The guy has a ring, he needs to show more composure than he did.

Oh Boy.

To be embarassed by the Saints is one thing, but to have it happen on Monday Night Football, for the world to see??

:sigh:
Embarassed? At home on MNF, after getting their asses kicked the week before? Geez... ye of absolutely no faith. That's a little sad. This team was never as bad as last week...

Definitely was a combination of poor organization for the play calling, and more mental mistakes than anything else (thought they had the division locked up before they even played a game). Seattle got the momentum, huge emotional lift with the new coach, and a great crowd, and things just fell apart. It happens.

Nice block by Iupati last series, Dixon scores on his first NFL touch. Love it! Go Rooks!

Here come the Saints again though!

Edit: Here they come again! Fuckin' NO.

Well, I guess this is where it all falls apart for the Niners..
HA! Could be, buddy, could be. That was a BRUTAL fucking delay of game penalty. Ridiculous.

Still, they've played pretty well so far. Especially Iupati... he's a mean SOB. Got ourselves a good one.

Actually, the O-line (last years biggest weakness) is playing pretty well.

They're screening the shit out of us though. Killing us on little dinks and donks. Great offense in NO.

Nice hold by the D there.

Edit: Fuck, we were moving nicely there too. C'mon Alex. Still hasn't shown he can produce in close games.

Defense holds twice in a row, and the rookie punt returner duffs it.

Fucking hell. How did that ball even stay in bounds.

How many times can we shoot ourselves in the foot.

BOOOOOM!! PATTY WILLIS!! That's a huge hold. Not looking good, but still alive.

Edit: What a game. Stings, but a great effort by the 49ers, and real nice composure by Alex & Co. on that last drive.

4 turnovers... the difference; don't win too many games turning the ball over like that.

Lots of positives to take from this game.

What did I miss?

It was an outstanding game, buddy.

If you actually didn't see it, the 49ers drove 82 yards in under a minute, and got the 2 point conversion to tie.

Too much time left on the clock (1:06), Saints drove the field, and hit a 37 yarder to win.

49ers turned the ball over 4 times, including a snap through the endzone for a safety, a a fumble by walker around the Saints 12 yard line or so.

The 49ers defense came to play today, but Brees just kept checking down - SF was playing a lot of soft zones - and he picked them apart on underneath routes to the backs.

Tightened up a bit, and he hit a 25 yard (or so) strike to Colston, and they kicked the FG.

Great, great game. The O-line played really well... really pumped about our big angry Samoan. Gore was awesome, Willis was awesome.

Edit: they also fumbled a kick return, with around 5 minutes left...

The ONLY good to come out of the game last night was that "Personna Non Grata" got injured and is out for 6 weeks.

And its not like me to wish injury on a player, but since he doesn't exist, then it really doesn't count.

And I still hate Alex Smith.

Forza Ryan Mallett
