Steve Young was a sort of hero of mine, even going back to the USFL, Tampa Bay, etc. I hated how the locals here treated him when he was the clear successor to an aging Joe Montana.

Was great to finally see him earn the accolades he deserved.

He was the best. I loved him. I was one of the few Steve Young defenders early on in his 49ers career
