i'm not saying that russell is any better than campbell but you have to understand that campbell plays in the best/most competitive division in football. the guy isn't cutting it. he was a mediocre QB at Auburn but you and i both know that doesn't automatically translate to anything in the NFL.

Jim Zorn himself was a QB coach for seattle and he can't do much with this guy either. portis has taken a fruitful beating more than a normal RB takes because of the redskins QB problems. thus the end result is that you still have no QB and your pro bowl horse is on its last legs.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for making my point for me.

Russell plays in what is possibly the worst division in football, and look at his numbers

have you seen Shaun Hill throw?? He has a below average arm, at best. Granted, Moss is better than any 49er wideout that we have, but I would take Vernon Davis over Cooley, and definitely take Frank Gore over Clinton Portis
Sure Shaun Hill is a game manager, but having a good arm only counts if you can actually throw it to the receiver. Have you ever seen Campbell throw down field to a wide open receiver before? He usually misses. The truth is Campbell has better attributes that Hill, but the 49ers wouldn't be any better with him than they are with Hill.

I can't agree with you that Davis is better than Cooley. It's not even close. Cooley has Campbell hanging him out to dry 6-8 times a game and he still manages to make things happen.

Nah, I would take Big Vernon. He's a more complete Tight End. A breakaway threat at that position and possibly the best blocking tight end in the game.

Secretly, I bet Washington would take him, too :D

I tend to base my ratings of players on what they actually do rather than "what they are capable of". :D

You certainly are a 49ers fan.

And Joe Flacco is the fucking man.

The lineage of Italian American Quarterbacks will continue.

Montana-Marino-Flacco.

I left Testaverde out on purpose. Can't win 'em all

True, but saying Davis is the best blocking tight end in football is a little out there.

Oh no, I'm not being subjective on that topic. He is without a doubt the best blocking tight end out of any that start in the National Football League. If you read what coaches say about his blocking, he is as good as some left tackles.

I'm sure that there are "Blocking Tight End Specialists" out there that might be better, but none that are currently starters

Only when he's got his head screwed on straight for the game.

because i hate the foreskins and i hate jason campbell for the fans of the foreskins
Yeah. Who doesn't? But they still don't have the stench of the Raidahs.

Al Davis is the best cock-blocking owner in football.

I don't really watch the 49er's so I'll just take your word on that.

Steve Young was a sort of hero of mine, even going back to the USFL, Tampa Bay, etc. I hated how the locals here treated him when he was the clear successor to an aging Joe Montana.

Was great to finally see him earn the accolades he deserved.
