@acmilan, great overtime strategy! :D
it was on purprose - didn't want to expose the offense to any new injuries in a game that was virtually meaningless to the Pats.
Plus, with a Jets win, Shittsburg is that much closer to missing out of the play-offs.

only negative today was yet another key player for the Pats going down with an injury.

Have you forgotten about the 4 Patriots suspended for PED usage since 2007...?

The Pats.
easy there, champ, no need to get all vengful and shit - it's just one asterisk ... the silver lining to having won only one SB with Rodgers :klin:

What a season.

But acmilan trying to say the Pats lost on purpose in OT.
seriously, why do you think they'd go with playing D after winning the toss? And no, it wasn't a mishap, the commentators misunderstood the situation, if that's what you are implying.
The team was just going thru the motions for most of that game anyway.

anyways, have fun watching A-Rod light up the NFC in the P-offs :D

It doesn't make sense. Unless you wanted to lose the game.

If Brady killed a man, you'd say it was on purpose. He wanted to take a break from the game and bulk up in prison.

Seriously. Late 4th Quarter comeback drive. They stop the Jets from driving the last 10 yards in regulation to kick a field goal for the win... And then they lose on purpose in OT? Right...

bitch, please.

they were getting to Fitzmagic with the passrush and went close to creating multiple turnovers in the game. Hence, why they went with the kick after winning the toss - create a turnover, get short field and just kick a FG to win it.

Pats entered the game already short on options at OL and lost two OTs in the game. Meaning, Brady was playing with little to no protection in this game. Meaning, how fucking stupid do you have to be to risk your QB in a virtually meaningless game for you?

not saying they lost on purpose but that they took a measured risk in trying to win with a defensive turn-over. It didn't work out, move on to the games that matter.

you are trying too hard ... almost as if you are looking for a distraction away from what's happening on your TV screen right about now :D

you are forgetting one thing - at the end of the Pats-Jets game, Belichick knew the outcome of the Steelers game (a loss for Pitt), unlike earlier in the game.
