that too but those injuries/benchings also gave the Texans the opportunity to take a closer look at a multitude of players in action and have a better idea where they stand at QB in general.
Problem is - unless I am missing someone - with Mariota out of reach and Winston being imo nothing more than a Geno Smith with character issues, I can't really think of a Qb prospect in this year's class, who could be an obvious choice, so to speak, and provide more guarantees for the future than say Savage, who himself is still very much a project.
Texan's best bet imo would be to load up on a FA vet or two (by now should be obvious Fitz ain't gonna cut it), bring Mallett back, and go from there with eyes on the 2016 draft and beyond.
