both games will decide who will go to the national championship this year. ultimately if the winner of the tx/ou game goes on to be undefeated and win the big12 title then 1/2 of the NC picture will be complete. from there on it will be a roulette of 1-loss SEC teams or possibly a big10 team.

- name another coach who has taken his team to a BCS bowl 6/8 years from a competitive conference
- he gets the best talent in the country to come to norman, oklahoma. why would kids choose to go there when they could go to austin, USC, LSU, OSU...
if you can name a better more consistent coach then please go ahead. yes, bob stoops has lost 4/6 bowls he's been to but just to get your team there is more than enough. he runs a much more competitive program than tressel, mack, carroll, rodriguez or anyone else you can name.
don't get all hyped up rubbing your balls cuz WVU has won the same amount of BCS games as OU. unfortunately WVU stands nowhere near any discussion for BCS consideration this season nor does it look like that for a few seasons to come. on the other hand, i guarantee you that OU will be in many BCS discussions long after Pat White gets cut from an NFL practice squad for after being converted to a receiver.

Actually Dru. Check out WVU's recruiting class for next season. It's pretty sick. We actually have a top WR coming to school and a QB to go with it. WVU still has a legit shot at a BCS bowl. They haven't lost a conference game yet so don't count your chickens before they're in the oven.
Stoops is a great coach. There's no doubt about that. But Oklahoma always seems to have a great team only to be just out of the NT picture, except for the year they won it.

all big schools have great incoming classes and the best players each year. the talent pool is not a concern, its the coach and how he utilizes those players.
burke likes to say things without thinking it seems. his comments lead one to believe that stoops is not debatably one of the best coaches in college football in the past 10 years.
i would automatically rule out tressel and carroll because they play in the kiddie conferences.

nick saban has been to only 1 BCS bowl game, and has only 1 conference title i believe. how is he more consistent than stoops?
the big12 and the SEC are the only conferences where there are multiple potential BCS contenders every season. also the SEC/BIG12 blow the big10/ACC/PAC10/east out of the water in terms of tough conference match-ups. if you don't believe that then i don't know what you are smoking.
