Amauri takes swipe at Juventus
By Football Italia staff

Amauri has made it clear that he will celebrate should he score for Fiorentina against former club Juventus.

The Brazilian striker ended an unhappy spell with the Turin giants in January when he signed for the Viola on a six-month deal.

He’s yet to ripple the net for his new club, but he has his eyes set on proving a point to the Old Lady of Italian football tomorrow.

“If I score then I’ll do a lap of the stadium,” the Italian international explained to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

Amauri, who returned to Juve in the summer after a loan stint at Parma, didn’t play a single minute for the Bianconeri this term after he rejected a move away from the club.

However, he’s not blamed his lack of use on boss Antonio Conte.

“I spoke with Conte on two occasions and he never told me that I wasn’t part of the project,” he explained.

“He told me that there were other players ahead of me, but he said that I had qualities and that I would be at the disposal of the team.

“I was OK with that, but at the end of the day he didn’t count. I was left out because that was the decision of the club.”

If i have to watch that neanderthal do a lap of honor after scoring against us i will eat my own head... how great would it be if he did a lap of honor before realise the goal was disallowed for being offside.
