Seriously Zebra stay out of this thread. You just recycle the same old bullshit week in week out.
And Amauri's performances have been unique every week have they Nick? I believe you have me confused with Amauri in the recyling shit department.

Any player that is remotely tall can break up play, if you'll remember when we bought Amauri he did that to a comparable extent AND scored goals. It's true he has one person (Diego) to get the ball to when he 'holds up play' and that nobody comes to help either of them out. And this professional footballer has done this the past 10 odd games straight with the same result.

If you actualy have a point to add feel free, telling me not to post in this thread leads me to believe either A you are upset about the result and in no mood to contend analysis or B you have nothing of merit to add to the discussion which from past experiences I would go for.

I've not condoned Amauris performances every week. This week however it was different he won alot in the air and laid off alot today aswell. If you feel I have nothing to offer don't reply to this post and keep yourself on the Amauri hater list.

If it is like you say here (and it is) then what do you expect from him?? Or were you sarcastic when you wrote the highlighted part?

I think he did his job today, which was to head/chest the ball down to the midfielders. If this is what he's getting paid to do though, then why not just throw a contract at a former basketball player in his late 20's?

Well, mr. Smart Guy, he wouldnt have been doing that all night if someone had actually passed the ball to his FEET!!

I'm pretty sure the next sentence after the highlighted bit was it.

I never said you have nothing to offer, I merely hinted to the fact that in the past you have taken issue with my posts, said it without actually contributing to why you think it's wrong of the topic I was discussing in general.

Amauri has not led to many chances at all in this barren run from the position he plays as a springboard. He jumps, gets the ball and passes it back every single time, it is like Robbie Keane for the ROI when he trys to drop his shoulder and round the centre back with every long ball and it rarely works for him or Kevin Doyle for that matter. Amauri used to do 4/5 of the job he does now and score goals, I'm not going to condone him at all for what he's doing atm, I'm sure he has the pace to at least try and turn, run and socre on his own or from a set piece.

Confidence plays a huge part on a Strikers mind. He's merly lacking once he gets a goal I feel he will continue to do so.

That was already said at the beginning of the Season where he got his goal and then he... oh well;)

Actually he looks slooooooooooow to me. That worries me most. No pace, no hunger.

They start doing that because every time they pass the ball to his useless feet, a defender gets the ball first or Amauri loses the ball cheaply.

Amauri is useless. People who are used to defend him should be deeply embarrassed by now. Hell, I'd be even surprised if a team like Stoke City wants this useless so-called 'footballer'.

I'll just wait until Trez and Iaquinta make a full recovery, and my point will be proved.

He'd probably fall over at the slightest of contact, and plus he had two guys on him at all times.
You dont know that so you cant say anything!!! And if he had two guys on him all the time (like i asked before) what were you expecting from him?? Isnt it more logical to say that because he had two guys on him the other forwards should have played better cause they had more space?? :sergio:

He not going to get one play a bounce-board, he needs to be more selfish.

I never thought I'd say that about a Brazilian player.
Indeed. Sometimes he should turn on the ball and shoot. His mindset is strange at the moment. His workrate is admirable though thats why I think its just confidence.
