Right, because I have never played nor watched soccer before. How many headers does he need to score, Andy? IQ/Trez need very little, yet the chances they do get they may squander some but not as many as Amauri. Screw service as an excuse, I used to say that myself. He has had service and he has had chances to head in on goal from set pieces/corners but doesn't when last year he was doing that blind folded.

The guy is as cold as ice right now and needs shaken the hell up.

As with DP...that was left footed and placed neatly at the far post side netting after timing his kick perfectly as the ball on its way down. That is no easy task.

I've watched every Juventus match bar a few friendlys for the last 4 years, I've watched every Amauri game as well and I know plenty about football.

I know enough to tell you that Amauri is hopeless, and everyone that has watched a Juventus game with me this season has also mentioned how bad Amauri is. I will be the first to admit that his service this season at times has been pretty poor, but regardless, he has had the chances. And also if a striker doesn't get chances you have to start looking at what he is doing (or in amauri's case what he isn't doing) off the ball.

I challenge anyone to watch the last 5 games and show me some play where Amauri has:

-Created space for another player
-Opened up the defence
-Made an intelligent run
-Taken a good position for a cross
-Actively followed up a shot
-Pressurised a defender

For every one example of good play, I can guarantee I will find 5 examples of poor play, at least

Also, let's watch his reactions whenever something doesn't go his way. He is the only want that gets pissed and puts his head down or throws his arms around.

He had a free header against Roma that he should have scored. And no, amauri isn't a good enough player to score goals on a whim, or at the drop of a hat. But his movement is supposed to put him in the right place to get some bloody service, if you look at him he never takes up good positions and he is always marked. A pass to Amauri is always a wasted pass. How can anyone possibly serve a player that isn't running into space, is offside or is making no effort to move away from his markers

Difference is that Ale plays like rubbish the whole game but he puts himself in a tap in situation on a sitter chance and scores goals while Amauri plays like rubbish the entire game but he fails to put himself in such positions. Getting the service you're talking about seems too difficult in our team but Del Piero got it while playing less than half of the matches Amauri has played this season.

Amauri, Del Piero and Trezeguet are playing for the same team. The service they get from the midfield is the same but not only can't Amauri score goals, but he also plays like rubbish week in week out. I'd have been more than glad if he'd been successful to score taps in on sitter chances.
