You can't expect retards here to know that. They have no idea how the game is played, and probably never played it themselves.
I can try. :D

Right, people slagging Amauri, explain what you want him to do in this situation, when the ball is played long to his head or chest when he has his back to goal and he has a CB tight at his back:

--------------Melo----Sissoko---De Ceglie
Candreva---------Sneijder--------------

Diego
Motta------Zanetti
Cambiasso
Amauri
Santon--Materazzi--Lucio--Maicon

Without movement from the rest of the team, what can he do?

I'm not Amauri's biggest fan, and let's be honest, he just can't really dribble past a defender, but this shit is getting ridiculous.

We should feel sorry for the kind of role he's being put in game after game.

EDIT: Red's post. ^

Del Piero is a far, far lazier player than Amauri.
Yeah, he would easily score 500 instead of his 266 goals if he just wasn't so lazy. I hope you're just ironic comparing their work rate. Even now, lacking pace, Del Piero runs into space while Amauri stops and watches defender going for the ball, what pisses me off the most. I expect him just to run, nothing more at this point. He's always behind Diego while he attacks from deep, so how the hell he dares to moan for lack of support?

At least he made a nice u-turn with ball today!!
...before he lost it...
because he again had to pick up a fight against two defenders ;)

why don't you ask where fuckin de ceglie was, when there was no one covering any run on inters right side in that situation ?

he would have had a free run on goal would he bothered to make a run ... there was no one on that side ... amauri could have easily played a ball leaving de ceglie with the ball at his feet in inters box... but yeah ... if i was amauri i would not have passed the ball to de ceglie .. man this guy is afraid to get the ball and do anything with it when the nearest opposing player is 20 metres away...

At least he can do the most important thing in football. You know, score a goal for a change.
but not as lone striker .... del piero gains huge advantage from the focus the defenders set on amauri when both play

Del Piero is somewhat the same kind of player and wouldn't have done any better at all. Only one guy could have done well in that position.

Who said that Del Piero would have done better as a lone striker? Was just commenting on Teeth's post about the "laziness" of Del Piero.

Why is everyone saying that? Del Piero can't play as a lone striker.

Of course he gains advantage from the focus their defenders have on our CF. But than at least Del Piero is able to assist a goal with Trezeguet. His positioning is great. With Amauri he has to do everything by himself because he isn't capable to frees himself up.

you gotta take into account that alex and david have many years of experience together ... they know each other well while amauri does not even have one fixed partner because he was pretty much tried with everyone ...

trez is the better finisher and his understanding with alex is great, but without alex i dont think trez would have had a better impact today ...

Good point there. Also Trez's recent form was not that convincing, although he was getting back to shape.

Before he got injured again that is.
