Amauri leaves Juve in the past
By Football Italia staff
Amauri has archived his Juventus past after he made a scoring return to the city of Turin with Parma on Sunday.
The centre-forward was forced out of the Old Lady in January 2012 – he joined Fiorentina for six months – after failing to break into the plans of boss Antonio Conte.
“It’s nice to come back here,” he noted after the 3-1 win against Torino. “This city provided me with some beautiful memories and some disappointments.
“Saying that, I prefer to live day by day – to look to the future and not the past.
“I had some difficult times at Juventus and I was forced to go in a not very nice way, but that is now gone.
“Today I’m celebrating with Parma and I hope that continues.”
Parma are seventh in the table after two straight wins. “We are getting better,” said the Brazilian-born Italian international.
“But we have to stay with our feet firmly on the ground. The championship is very balanced this season and one incident can turn the result of a game.”
Amauri, 32, has three goals in six matches after his summer move to the Tardini.
