not counting barzagli hell no, zebina legro andrade chiellini molinaro grygera - doesnt look like the defence that could withstand cl for long

If we actually had Barzagli, yeah, that would be enough. However, I think the defense is still two players short.

First Choice: ______, Chiellini,______, Mellberg
Second Choice: De Ceglie, Legrottaglie, Andrade, one of Zebina/Grygera

Surplus: Molinaro, one of Zebina/Grygera, Birindelli (retiring), Criscito (loan again?), Stendardo (is he staying?)

A healthy and vital Andrade could probably fill that starting CB gap, but I would say Zapata/Barzagli for one spot, and Grosso/Zambrotta/Bridge/Pasqual/Dossena for the LB spot.

barzagli?? i do think we need a defender, andrade has had a serious injury in 2 of the last 3 seasons. he missed the world cup and now the euros for that reason. a defender is more important that a striker, but we'll see if the board goes for one.

amauri is a great addition, but given what we have is he the type of player we need? and at what we pay (cash + nocerino + co-ownership of lanzafame)? i dont mind nocerino going as much but lanzafame hasnt had a chance. maybe i just want to see our young players come through the ranks instead of being in co-ownership deals.

Neither does C.Zanetti. He always talks trash about Inter and yet you say he's a dirty Interista.

For me the situation is clear. They are all dirty Interistas and they must die.
Moggi hates Inter = I hate Inter and everyone who ever played for Inter.

I agree... but I'm not terribly opposed to adding another solid striker, so long as its not essentially a lateral move, in which we offload Iaquinta later.

Unfortunately, I think we need two more defenders (as well as Mellberg), but I bet we'll end up looking like this:

New LB/Chiellini/Mellberg/Zebina

De Ceglie/Legrottaglie/Andrade/Grygera

An upgrade for sure, but not enough of one, in my opinion, to compete in the Champions League against the big clubs.
