He still has to prove to everyone that he's top class
Now that a valid point and he can only do that in a team like Juve or Milan,
or in the NT.

However we cant blame him for his diplomatic comments.
He wants to help Palermo bring in the highest bidder and as long as we and Milan have equal chances to get, that would be unwise to make any pro or contra comments for any of those two teams.
He can t control the situation 100%, any of those two might suddenly withdraw their bid and he cant lose the other option. Remember Sissoko's comments?
He should he would prefer to stay in Liverpool because it is a bigger club than Juve but when he came in, you cant blame him for not fighting enough for our jersey.
Amauri is wiser than Sissoko here!

Sissiko is stupid but in order not to leave he said that but now he has to show that he deserves a squad place
That's the point that everybody even Amauri if he signs with our team juve ha has to prove that he is good enough to wear the JUVE jersey

ps who is trident?

At least Sissoko said it once.
Amauri talks like 24/7 with the media. At a certain point he was '91%' Juve player, after that he's '98%' Juve player. Now he says that CL will depend where he will go.
I doubt that he knows what he wants...

Clearly we`re behind Milan in Amauri`s pecking order, when he say`s where he`ll go depends on CL...it means that he`s hoping to Milan to make 4th position and then he can choose them, it would be a no question of signing for us since we`re already qualified for the CL.

I hope our board of dimwits could actually turn this situation around and stop trying to please amauri and his agents, show some balls and give them an ultimatum to sign on, while already looking at other options.

With all due respect to Amauri looking for a better deal for himself, i think its better we go after players who wanna fight for Juve, not be a part of this team just de facto cause we`re in CL and the others are not!

Of course we are behind Milan in the pecking order, I can just imagine the difference in the figure offered. That is why the deal has taken so long to finish, he wants to see if Milan are in the CL. Did you notice how he spoke when Milan were ahead of Fiorentina before the games in Sunday? It was almost impossible to sign him and the talk about Giovinco and half our squad started to top the surface.

Now that Milan are not in a good position our offer has decreased.

Seriously this is the most bullshit I have ever seen and I thought we hit the bottom during our Emerson negotiations.

I think you have summarized the position accurately.

As has been mentioned earlier today on this thread by Fred ( & others ), the priority must be a Neddy relacement (whether he plays next season or not), a world class left back, and once we have achieved this, perhaps we should bust a gut to find a 20 goals a season striker.

I'd have to say good post, because you're probably right about it, but the main point you're missing; you don't find the 'juve-fans' bringing us the CL-Cup on the street. Do you think amauri is a juve-fan? probably not. But is huntelaar? is Aguero? is ronaldinho?... probably even less! Nowaday's football is (as sad as it sounds) different from what fans want it to be. Don't get me wrong, i'm all for the bandieras in calcio and people like del piero, nesta, totti, ... all have my deepest respect, but thay are rare.

Nonetheless, as for all the amauri-stuff going on; i think he's made worse than he actually is. Just browse through controcampo (dont know url by heart). There were a couple of interviews with him mainly by that strange dude 'mosca'. He didn't literally say he will come to juve, but it all sounded pretty wrapped up to me. I'd do the same thing if i was in amauri's case. Milan are offering nearly a million more, that's a lot of cash... plus milan has some tradition with brasilians... it's all not that bad. But, as i always said, and i will keep doing so until an official statements proves me wrong; I think amauri will wear juve's jersey next year, and he'll help us a lot in the next seasons. The deal will be somewhat around 12mio plus nocerino and some 'comproprieta'/loan thing and everything will work out fine. No giovinco going to wrong way, not a horrendous amount of cash, no more drama; everything will be fine in a couple of days. My opinion :)

i guess for the amount of money (be it cash or in form of players) we could get other players of the same class.

honestly it would not be that difficult to find others with the same class, because amauri is not proven international, so someone who does well on the domestic league would easily come for +20 mio!

Well put!

So long as Fiorentina wins on Sunday, Juventus is back in the driver's seat. Amauri wants money and CL, not specifically Milan. Milan just offers more money, but I doubt significantly more. His options and Palermo's will be limited, and Juve should be able to wrap this up on Monday for a respectable amount (10m + Nocerino and maybe not even 1/2 of Lanzafame if they push the right buttons).

One thing is for sure... there's been way too much BS getting tossed around and way too much fiddle fucking around with Palermo on this one. Amauri is a late bloomer who COULD become a superstar... he isn't one yet and shouldn't be treated like it yet.

Dont get me wrong, its not about being a Juve fan, I think Amauri`s a good player and will probably get better playing with us, id like to see him in Juve jersey just as anyone else, but the way Palermo and his agents are behaving it seems that we`re bending backwards to sign this guy.
Lets say hypothetically Milan do qualify next week, he`ll go right up and sign up with them , thus rendering all the negotiations that we`ve had with them totally useless.

When a player starts getting bigger than the team then we have serious problem`s, all this talk about paying him as much as the senior players at Juve, loanin gio for him, just seems like we`re bending backwards for him.
The thing is we have let him know that we`re not desperate to get him, use all this MiLAN talk from Amauri to gain a better position in the nego, give him a take it or leave it offer and start looking at other options, afterall we`re the team with arguably the best strike force in Seria A, so its not exactly that we`re desperate in that position anyway.

Sure we need better quality apart from DP and Trez....but lemmwe put up this question, do u think Amauri is among the top 10 strikers in europe??....I think 20 million that we`re supposedly splurging on him can easily buy us someone in that list.

:agree: agree on every word, all this talk just suggest that our officials lack very much the experience in this sport and it shows. No one of the trio had anything to do with football except secco :inter: , thats why we struggled sooo much in signing players and its a shame that such a great club with great tradition and history ends up in those people's hand :faq1:

i really don't see amauri having such a great impact, that anybody on earth would describe him as superstar...
I agree... there are many that think he has the ability to become like Luca Toni... but I think he might be a solid, but expensive late blooming striker who might get a look in the Italian NT as the old guard retire and the young guys like Giovinco, Rossi, Acquafresca and Pazzini develop, but not with Brazil.
