At what cost would you be ok with Amauri?

  • Giovinco + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + Giovinco

  • Nocerino + Almiron + Marchionni

Gilardino is still the same player that scored over 20 goals two seasons in a row. Besides he's still only 25 years old. Milan fucked him up, but I'm sure he can get back to his best at a new club. I'd take him, for a reasonable price. He is a perfect understudy for Trez.
Milan fucked him up? Yeah, I guess starting a player for two seasons in a row despite him being worse than trash is fucking a player up. He scored 20 goals wth Parma? Big fucking deal, he had no competition at Parma, look at Borriello with Genoa. It's much easier to play well for a small team than it is for a big team. The bottom line is, Gila choked. He was given the chance and he choked big time.

Milan are dying to get rid of him for a reason.

I'm shocked that people actually want Gila to play for Juve. I hope you guys realize that he has the footballing abilities of a 90 year old woman. Another thing, how is he at all better than Iaquinta who is ten times better as a finisher and everything else. What could Gila give to this team? FFS, the guy sucks.
Gila was a great finisher when he was at Parma, then he went to Milan and for some reason he hasn't performed

My eyes are bleeding.
You should check that out :p

Same thoughts

Can someone please explain to me how Gila is better than Amauri?
Gilardino is NOT better than Amauri, its just if Gilardino was offered to Juve and to Inter, Juve offering 3 million euros a year, and Inter offering 3.5 million, he would not have to think about it, he would not try to leech as much money off them as he can.
Amauri is taking too long to make a decision, and is going to go where throws the most money at him.
Amauri is probably the better overall player, but like that article i posted, Amauri is a mercenary and goes where the money is. Gilardino is actually a Juve fan, and thus would be more passionate about the team and try his best.

It all depends on the price at the end of the day. For Gilardino i would not pay more than 7 million euros. While if to get Amauri we have to co-own Giovinco, Marchisio and De Ceglie plus give them money, then Palermo can go fuck themselves.

We need a back up striker, not a starter

It may be easier to stand out in a small team but it sure as hell isn't asier to score goals in a small teams. The service is much better in a better team.

Just starting a player match after match doesn't mean you are doing the right thing for that player. Maybe the enviroment at Milan just wasn't right for him. God knows why he didn't perform as expected from him.

Canna was lousy at Inter, coming from the same Parma as Gila. Look what he did for us.

well, i don't really want gila either, but what you said there is not quite right... I mean, it's not 'easier' to score in a small/bad team. It's kind of harder even. Because you are not served the inch-perfect-passes, do not get that much balls, ... i'm pretty sure trez wouldn't be top-scorer of serie-a if he played in catania.
I don't know really what's up with gila, and what happened to him. I don't know if he really is past his peak or if he maybe can get back to old form. Fact is IF someone (not necessarily juve) wanted to buy him, now is the moment. He'd come for a small transfer fee, and i'm pretty sure he'd accept every wage he'd be offered.
Let's not forget that he has some years ahead of him, and maybe he can find his form, although, as i said... he had 2 years time to prove something and he didn't manage. and that with a kaka behind you, so there must be something wrong with him. I don't know really what to say about him... that amauri deal is going on my nerves so that's probably why i'm even thinking about gila. If it should fail with amauri, and if iaq would go to roma for aquilani, i'd take gila only because he'd e cheap (in transfer and wage)

:agree:

I like Amauri... he is a great player... but he is proving far too costly... We could Also sign a much better striker tho, Gila would not be a step in the right direction...

Amauri is not worth that much money our youngsters, nor does he deserve 3,75M a year. If we can get Gila for a reasonable price, that might be a good deal, because:
1) we pay a lower transfer fee
2) we pay less wages
3) we keep our youngsters
4) Gila is a Juve fan
5) Gila is younger
6) we have a tradition of restarting players' careers
7) and Gila could use the transfer to prove himself

cmon gila is younger nd a juve fan,
plus although as someone said scoring 20 goals at parma is easy,
becoz not muvch competition , but at juve or milan you have way better midfielders feeding you balls right ?
maybe just wrong enviroment
i think gila could come good at juve,
like sissoko did.
plus id rather him than amauri tbh

If the deal involves Amauri for Giovinco then Palermo can go fuck themselves but if it's a reasonable deal where we pay them a good price + Marchionni for example, then I won't mind. Gila is not good enough, the reason he has performed so badly for Milan is because he is surrounded by a bunch of stars wich made him look like a mere amateur. When he was at Parma, he seemed like such a good player because the rest of the Parma players sucked so much.

He won't do well at Juve because he just doesn't belong to a big team. He's better off playing at Parma, Empoli, or Cagliari.

I think someone said we're looking for a sub, not a starter. That's utter bullshit. We're playing on three fronts next year, we are going to need as much quality as possible. We can't settle for the likes of Gila if we want to be a competitive team bext season. Your argument makes no sense. We want a player that can potentially replace Alex or Trez when one of them is out of form or out with injury, therefore, we would need great quality, not Milan's garbage.

:rofl2: I am loving these arguments: Gilardino is younger, Juve fan and was a great finisher at Parma and he is Italian.

Gilardino downright SUCKS! I can now see the standard of knowledge of current posters. Frankly, I lost any will to post in this thread when people think Gilardino is better than Amauri. Check that guys's post, Amauri is Brazilian and I hate him? WTF? Are you stupid or what? Amauri is a superior player any way you compare them. If you want to dump a great striker just because we would lose one of our fucking youngster who maybe won't even become a good player for that piece of useless shit Gilardino, be my guest. But please, don't ever say one bad word again about Secco. You criticise him yet you would turn Juventus into a circus with playres of Gilardino's calibre. I just hope our Board will not listen your advices. Morons....

leave this clown now, before we end up doing something stupid, I would actually settle for having gila as a squad player he'll add good depth
