Well, you don't know if Boriello will make it in Juve. Sometimes players surprise us, don't be so categorical.
On the other hand, are you sure that Amauri will make it in our squad?
I am not sure of that and I don't even remember adressing the subject Amauri in here. Because I reject Boriello doesn't automatically mean I am pro Amauri.

I don't want Amauri in our squad. I would prefer an Italian striker such as Boriello or Toni (who is in great form).
Also, I believe that Barzagli will be a good signing and a strong reinforcement for our squad.
I'm with you here, but this is a very delicate point on this forum ;) ! No Amauri for me neither. Welcome to the forum by the way. Enjoy your stay.

The Brazilian is expected to be sold to Juventus at the end of the season, but Gazzetta dello Sport says the Gunners have stalled negotiations with a contract offer worth £3.2 million-a-year being tabled to the player's agent, Mariano Grimaldi.

Grimaldi is currently discussing the Arsenal deal with Amauri, who could move to Emirates stadium as cover next season for crocked forward Eduardo da Silva.
i know its tribal but i smell something fishy, i could see us not gettting him.

I'd love it if we took Amauri, he'd definitely improve our team. I dont think its true though, isnt Amauri 28?? i cant remember the last time we bought an outfield player that age.
you got Gallas. But technically you didn't buy him. He was included in the Cole transfer (not that you guys can complain as you were desperate for a defender at that time)

1. Yeah, right, Arsenal will pay +20m eur for one player
2. Yeah, right, Arsenal will pay +20m eur for a 27/28 yo player
3. Yeah, right, Arsenal will pay 20m eur for someone whose name is absolutely unknown in England.
4. Yeah, right, Arsenal will give him wages higher than what 90% of their players are earning.
5. Yeah, right, FA laws will allow Arsenal to buy a non-EU player who is yet to play for a national team.
6. Yeah, right, Amauri will go to England if he recieves an Italian passport.
7. Completely false rumor from Tribal.
8. If it's not an invented story by the newspapers, it's either Zamparini trying to make Amauri's price higher or it's Wenger trying to scare Juve off in their attempt to steal Flamini from him.

7a. We're not buying it Tribal.
8a. We're not buying it Zampa and Wenger.

Gunners Join Amauri Hunt

Thu 17 Apr, 12:09 PM

Arsenal are set to join the bidding for Palermo's in-demand striker Amauri, according to reports in Italy.

The Brazilian-born forward, who is considering playing for Italy, has been plying his trade in Europe since 2001 after he impressed as a youth playing in the famed Viareggio Tournament.

After a brief spell in Switzerland he began his spell in Italy in 2001 and was snapped up by Palermo in 2006.

Since his move to Sicily, Amauri has became a firm fans' favourite and is now one of the most feared strikers in Serie A.

But Palermo are now ready to sell and Juventus have never hidden their desire to land him, having been leading the hunt for the past few months.

Juve and Palermo officials have met after the Sicilian outfit confirmed they wanted 25million euros (£19million) for the 27-year-old.

However, Palermo are more than open to talks with other clubs and that has opened the door to Arsenal.

It is claimed The Gunners have made Amauri's representatives aware that they would be willing to pay him 4million euros (£3.2million) - which would seemingly be a big draw for the player.

Arsenal are also now in a financial position to be able to pay the asking price and they could very well be major rivals to Juve.

Liverpool and Real Madrid, amongst others, are also believed to be keeping a close check on the situation.

I meant to say that if Arsenal decide to pay such price, it will be for someone who is already proven, world class player, or one of top3 greatest youngsters.
By saying that he's unknown in England i wanted to say that he's not a big, well known, name or a hot talent that'll make Arsenal bosses pay so much money.
