I've never seen a team wanting to sell a player so badly. Like they're so willing to sell but usually teams play hard-to-get in order to increase the price. I wonder what Palermo's planning
Seriously i don't think that amuari will add anything to our attack. He's very similar to iaquinta IMO the only plus to him is that he has more skills and bitter ball control but nothing else. We should get a different kind of attacker, someone who's fast, skilled and young (someone like piatti :p )

maybe they are planning to switch from a sports franchise to a womens lingerie brand, and amauri wants nothing to do with the idea so he wants out.

they could call the women's lingerie brand "zamparini's secret" :D

I do think Amauri can add another dimnesion to the attack.
His leaping ability is pretty awesome. His first goal against juve was taken very cooly despite the presence of Legro and Chiellini.

As with previous post, if Juve can accomodate Trez, DP, Mutu, Ibra and Zala under Capello.

I dun see why Amauri can't form an attacking foursome with DP, Trez and Iaquinta. Im pretty sure all of them will have their parts to play next season with more games and more intensive competitiors.

Not to mention we will look more competitive on paper and on the field.

We might juz have 3 strikers in Italy NT @ Euro 2008

no doubt that if we get Amauri we will be a better outfit...but the real issue is that he is not a fundamental requirement right now...our strikers have done a marvelous job throughout the season...

I don't want Amauri in our squad. I would prefer an Italian striker such as Boriello or Toni (who is in great form).
Also, I believe that Barzagli will be a good signing and a strong reinforcement for our squad.

No thanks, Boriello is a typical small club striker. He would never make it in a big club. Look at Tavano and Esposito and even Suazo. They are the same material.

mh, interesting; i don't see where toni or even boriello should be better than amauri. Toni may be great and all at times, but i don't like his style of play at all... he scores nearly every game, gotta give him that, but still...
As for Boriello, he will never make it in a big-club, i'm pretty sure of that. I agree with esteban on that (although i think suazo is different)
You want italian reinforcement? Well, you could hope for amauri to get the italian passport. :p

Well, you don't know if Boriello will make it in Juve. Sometimes players surprise us, don't be so categorical.
On the other hand, are you sure that Amauri will make it in our squad?

Arsenal are set to join the bidding for Palermo's in-demand striker Amauri, according to reports in Italy.

The Brazilian-born marksman, who is considering playing for Italy, has been plying his trade in Europe since 2001 after he impressed as a youth playing in the famed Viareggio Tournament.

After a brief spell in Switzerland he began his Italian adventure in 2001 and was snapped up by Palermo in 2006.

Since his move to Sicily, Amauri has became a firm fans' favourite and is now one of the most feared strikers in Serie A.

But Palermo are now ready to sell and Juventus have never hidden their desire to land him, having been leading the hunt for the past few months.

Meetings

Juve and Palermo officials have met after the Sicilian outfit confirmed they wanted 25million euros (£19million) for the 27-year-old.

However, Palermo are more than open to talks with other clubs and that has opened the door to Arsenal.

It is claimed The Gunners have made Amauri's representatives aware that they would be willing to pay him 4million euros (£3.2million) - which would seemingly be a big draw for the player.

Arsenal are also now in a financial position to be able to pay the asking price and they could very well be major rivals to Juve.

Liverpool and Real Madrid, amongst others, are also believed to be keeping a close check on the situation.
