Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira (13 Viewers)

At what cost would you be ok with Amauri?

  • Giovinco + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + Giovinco

  • Nocerino + Almiron + Marchionni

  • Almiron + Marchionni + cash

  • Fuck no, don't want him at all

  • Almiron+cash

Amauri would be my 3rd option behind Huntelaar and Gomez as a new forward so if the rumors are true that they want Almiron then I'd offer him and $$$ to Palermo. I would concentrate more on getting one of the other 2.

De Ceglie could be sent on loan only if I can get Vargas in the deal.

I would use Nocerino in a deal to Udinese or Napoli to get either Zapata or Hamsik.

Mark, do you think Udine won't let Zapata go if they play CL next year ?
Or they'll only add few millions to the asking price and sell him to the highest bidder ?

Its a public poll Tassard, you can click on the numbers and see who voted what. It was Andy himself who voted for that bizzare option.

Regarding Amauri, very good but quite overrated player. Wouldnt be my first choice to sign as a player, even if quite realistic one. Not saying I only prefer signing dreamsignings like Aguero or Benzema, but I think Rossi is very doable and an absolute must if other big teams dont fight tooth and nails for him too.

Amauri in himself was described well by Alen, wouldnt take us to that high of level even if very useful, is bit better then Iaquinta even if both share in that arent much of goalscorers. Why I would say he is overrated is a market that doesnt have that many realistic quality strikers options makes him get more attention then he deserves. Wouldnt mind him if he was bought for similar sum to Iaquinta, but other then that, not so much. You can be generous and add that sum + with some deadbeat players like Almiron and Marchionni(the option I voted for), but not sacrifice much else for his sake (Think its just empty speculation with us considering giving away Marchiso and Giovinco, but sadly De Ceglie can be likely because his future with us in much more doubt then the other two).

Not even sacrifice Palladino whom I generally criticise for being useless. Same with Nocerino, he is not too good, but you need squad players, and unless he or they complain too much, they should be kept to add to depth (especially Nocerino, wouldnt think Palla would have much room if we buy big AM, and striker like Amauri).

In general, this in an ample sitaution to find a permanent replacement for Ale, who can go on a couple of years, but shouldnt be missed to get grade A talent to replace in time. That player for me is Rossi (Giovinco is a playmaker, not a forward), and if you can dream, one of the two wonder boys Aguero or Benzema, though no chance with either nor is it a priority to use 40m or so for either with a tight budget.

Basically signing Amauri instead is a stopgap IMO. A useful one, because we can survive next season with our current strike force too (keyword survive, one cant compete in two fronts with 3 strikers only), let alone sign someone like Amauri who would add to our strikeforce well enough, but one can be more ambitious then Amauri IMO, and I am.

It would be tougher to get him but for the right amount of :money: , the player's will to play for a bigger club and loan/co-own some players like Nocerino or other youngsters we could get something done.

Udinese is a notoriously typical selling club, they are auctioneers, dont let an opportunity to sell big pass them by. They scout really well and discover unknown little talents, but cynically sell anyone at first chance.

talking about Udinese, we don't really need him but Inler ain't that bad hey?
Yes, a very pleasant surprise. He and Gargano were completely anonimous before this season and now they're among the best DMC's in the league.
Another nice piece of job by Udinese and this is a perfect example of what Osman said in the post above. They sold Muntari for ~11m euro and they bought someone who's playing just as good (imo, even better) for peanuts.

Nocerino, Almiron and Marchionni.
Almiron isn't good enough, Nocerino is covered by Sissoko and Zanetti and Marchionni is injured to much and we have Camo.

You know, we have a phrase that goes by "Idiotic people can always be blessing"

And this phrase works pretty well with Ibrahimovic9. I don't need to prove any point concerning him, he proves it by himself.

I never said anything about Del Piero nor about having a competition. Looks like he's not satisfied sexually with his Ibrahimovic idol but he's hitting at me and Del Piero

Few months ago he said the same thing when I criticized Iaquinta. And If someone look at it, I was the first one who to welcome Iaquinta, he was the first one to criticize his signing.

Idiotic people....is indeed a blessing.

I mean, who came up with this poll? Giovinco plus cash for Amauri?

Somebody had to vote for that option. If we actually did that I'd cut my fucking dick off and call myself Sally.

In regards to what Osman said, I think it's time we started looking ahead and find a replacement for Trezeguet sooner rather than later. It should be just like when we bought David... we still had Inzaghi doing the primary work up top until Trez came on strong and played due to the little rat's injury.
