if any striker should be brought in to replace Trez, i would prefer Huntelaar...

why does everyone talk of replacing Trez... Trez still has 3 or 4 years

I would like huntelaar too but what is the point if he would not start games? It is not like they will play Trez and Huntelaar .. so why spend so much on a guy who will be a back up player?

At least Amauri would start games if we got him.

Trez was in the same situation when he joined Juve...he was on the bench and was behind even Kovacevic...nobody starts at the top

ok but it makes much more sense to address the huge problems in the current team. Our defense is over stretched, our LB is weak, our 2 main CM buys of the summer are bound to leave, Nedved is going to retire...

Why would we spend so huge on Huntelaar when his position is not an issue at the moment. We need to plug the holes first and i don't see the club buying Huntelaar atm.

it isn't an issue at the moment, but a CL campaign along with Serie A will require 4 STs...Palla is being utilised in MF and is not thought of as a FW...

but I agree that there are other areas with more pressing concerns...i hope we get the 2nd guy named in the thread title ...and the midfield? we have 2 gems called Marchisio and Giovinco that will be back next year, and hopefully Diego controlling our MF

I too would love it is Barzagli came.. but my preference is Zapata as i think he is a phenomenal talent

1 - i love Marchisio, reminds me so much of Conte...and if not now or next season, then it will probably be never

2 - Barza would be great, Zapata is still young and may become another Crisicito situation and still not quite the "leader" we need

3 - Diego is definitely wishful thinking, but one can dream

I think Zapata is good enough. he is 22, captain of Udinese and is part of one of the best defenses in Serie A. Put him next to Chiellini and you have a very good CB pairing.

Criscito is still so young .. he will come good.


i too dream of a top Attacking mid.. but i would be happy with VDV or Diego. The club seem afraid to make big buys though. i would not be surprised if they moved for a cheaper proven alternative in Deco or something for the CL next season.

Barzagli is a good bit cheaper than Zapata though i think. Hopefully we get one or the other.
