Amauri exit already agreed Tuesday 22 January, 2008

Palermo striker Amauri will leave the Sicilian club at the end of the season, his agent has confirmed.
The Brazilian-born player is known to be on the transfer wish list of some of Europe’s biggest sides and a summer move is now inevitable.
“We already reached an agreement with Palermo in August that Amauri would be transferred to one of the big clubs in July of this year,” Vittorio Grimaldi told TV station Sport Italia this evening.
Although the representative admitted that Amauri – who could still play for Italy at Euro 2008 if he nets Italian citizenship – will be packing his bags, his destination is as yet unclear.
“Nothing has been decided yet,” continued Grimaldi. “The Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, are courting him. In Italy, Milan and Juventus are in the frame.
“An agreement will only be ironed out in June, therefore only after the player is certain that he will be playing in the Champions League.”
The Rosanero, who signed the former Napoli player from Chievo Verona in the summer of 2006, are expected to demand a fee of around £16m.
Juventus recently confirmed their interest in the forward and they could offer a player plus cash deal for the South American.
