Maybe we are building for a 4-3-3 next season?
They might have something like this in mind:

    Camoranesi- Xabi Alonso- Sissoko
    (Nedved)- (Zanetti)- (Marchisio)
    Amauri -Trezeguet- Del Piero
    (Iaquinta) - (Iaq/Ama) - (Giovinco)

we have a pretty good squad, but there is definite room for improvement in certain areas...it may not be a CL-winning squad yet, but we are getting there...the mercato season will only really kick off after the Euros, so any speculation on possible signings is just that at the moment...

for that kind of formation you would need an excellent defence, which we don't really have

but after the euro it will be much harder to sign big names, or players who did VERY well in the euro.
Y? cause we dont got the power of the marceto we used to have on moggi's duty, look at milito saga.

im sry for my english, im new here and we dont use to talk english at my country.

I know Sissoko does a lot of work, but to make up for 3 strikers and a winger is asking a bit too much. TBH not really sure if Xabi can do the destroyers job as well or whether he is just there to create, maybe someone could enlighten me?

    Haven't you heard?

We're getting Carvalho, Lahm and Evra as our defenders.

    All for free naturally

neddy right? sissoko LM? don't think so...

    i see our line-up is pretty obvious;

    Amauri - Trez
    (Del Piero) - (Palladino/Iaquinta)

Nedved - Xabi Alonso - Camoranesi
    Sissoko

    (Giovinco) - (Tiago) - (Marchionni)
    (Zanetti)

whereas the forward section stays pretty versatile. Probably Del Piero will play more than a sub :)

Xabi is no mug in the defensive dept., but that isn't really his strong suit

and :rulz: about Carvalho, Lahm and Evra! :p

I agree there good point, but with the players we have and are getting that is one of the options. And I beleive that midfield offers deceptively more protection that one would think.

I know Sissoko does a lot of work, but to make up for 3 strikers and a winger is asking a bit too much. TBH not really sure if Xabi can do the destroyers job as well or whether he is just there to create, maybe someone could enlighten me?
Xabi Alonso creates, but he always remains infront of the defence. He's a 'bricklayer' he organizes the attack from behind. Positioning-wise he assures that the defence get good protection, due to him sitting back and he covers the space more offensive midfielders (Camo) leave behind. Camoranesi may be a winger, but we have all seen how well he can play as central midfielder as well and he and Nedved win an extreme amount of balls and always do a lot of defensive work as well.

Think a little........ Of course not Nedved on the right. Nedved would be the alternative to Camoranesi as the offensive central midfielder.
You could look at it like this instead, if you need that to understand the idea:

    Xabi Sissoko
    Camoranesi (Nedved)

    i see our line-up is pretty obvious;

    Amauri - Trez
    (Del Piero) - (Palladino/Iaquinta)

Nedved - Xabi Alonso - Camoranesi
    Sissoko

    (Zanetti)

Tiago won't say and I reckon Marchionni is gone too, even though he wants to stay. That team is quite probable and what I would've expected for some time. Recently Ranieri started speaking of how team's in the CL used 4-3-3 (hint hint) and it makes more sense with players like Iaquinta, Amauri and Giovinco in the squad too.

I reckon a lot will depend on Nedved or rather the faith put in him. I mean, if we decide he isn't a starter anymore (which could be later during the season), do we replace him directly on the left with Giovinco, or do we play another forward.

You wanted us to keep Blasi? :shocked2:

It's amazing that you think Nocerino and Blasi are good players yet you don't rate Amauri.
whats more amazing, is those same posters dont rate Alonso, but they rate Nocerino and Blasi highly.
Maybe we are building for a 4-3-3 next season?

So, signing him will be costing 12 million euros (18 million dollars), plus the transfer from Juve of midfielder Antonio Nocerino and a joint-ownership of the young striker Davide Lanzafame.

And his wage will be 4.1 million euros annually.

I still don't think he is worth all of that.

    Hi evryone,

I agree we are paying a lot for Amauri. Can someone tell me if someone is thinking of buying 4 very good defenders? We need right and left fullbacks and 2 central defenders as the 4 we have now are not good except Chiellini but I prefer him as left fullback

    Thanks.

Why do all the new members want Chiellini at LB ?
Is he not as good CB as this forum makes him out to be or is Molinaro such a useless timber that people are so desperate to ask for an average LB (Chiellini) to take the LB position ?
    :)
