The morata revisionists again

I liked Morata a lot too but higuain is an unquestionably superior CF. Take off the rose colored glasses you faggots Morata was NEVER prolific in this team or any other

Trust me if Morata was our CF we would be worse off. People here probably wouldnt complain as much but thats just cause morata is way handsomer and tuz is extremely gay for hot juventus players

On the outside, but in reality they are all after Gonzalo's Dad Bod, they just too shy to admit it.

Aside from in CL knockouts, where Higuain has 4 goals in like 25 matches. Morata is better suited to CL football. Also would have cost less, and has many more years at the top level. :p

I'd prefer we had paid 75-80mil (Chelsea's fee) for 24 year old Morata over 90m for 28 year old Higuain in a heartbeat. Unfortunately Real Madrid was dead set on keeping Alvaro for a year after his return, and we bought Higuain before Morata became available again. :(

Morata has always been a player that can lose his confidence and form very quickly

He's talented but his finishing is still so shit at times and he doesn't suit our style of play either

Good player but nothing special about him so far anyway

He is certainly still very talented. Would probably excel most in some team where his role was to be technically gifted, drop back, win headers, flick ons and help hold possession while not being wholly relied upon to score every other game. Sort of like a false 9 type

Messi has done a good enough job of that himself. Remind me the last time Messi scored in a final of any major competition...? He caught Higuain's finals choking gene a half-dozen years ago. .
Not scoring in finals isn’t the same as not playing well tho. He’s the most ganged up on player against every team and still manages to ball out. So many great passes and opening up the game.

Agreed, but he’s still pretty young. Could turn out deadlier if he gets it together. He’s got a lot of speed, skill and talent

Morata and Higuain have the same amount of goals this season. Higuain has 9 in Serie A and 2 in CL and Morata has 10 in EPL and 1 in CL.

So Higgy has more goals in the CL this season than Morata and we played in a much tougher group (no Qarabag to beat on and Atletico compared to barca LOL).

Both of Higgy's goals were absolutely crucial, providing us a needed win at home to Olympiakos and an equally crucial draw away to Sporting when nobody else looked like stepping up

In the world cup final (and semis) he was trash. However since the world cup he has taken a deeper role for both Barca and Argentina. So to hold him to a standard where has to score is unfair as he is pretty much an AM at this point. However he could do more to create chances. Only chance I remember him creating is this Higuain miss:

Didnt make the chance creating pass (Lavezzi did) however he did create the play.

Messi had a good game against us in 2015 CL final. But he's been utter shit in finals for Argentina.

Those misses that everyone complains about Higuain having in the finals for Argentina... none of them were chances created by Messi. Against Germany it was assisted by a German defenders bad header that left him 1v1 with the keeper, and against Chile in 2015 it was a massive backpass error by a Chilean defender that put Higgy 1v1.

For being the so-called unstoppable player, Messi has been anything but in international finals. He hasn't scored and he hasn't created chances. He's been poor. Simple as that. Doesn't mean he's not one of the best players of all time, but let's not make out that he's been good when he hasn't been.

He hasn't played deep enough to excuse his lack of involvement in creating chances. In 3 international finals I expect better of him than a single chance created in the build-up.

Also just saying Sampaoli's Chile was awesome, imo the best team in the world from 2015-16. Had he not left Chile I would have def put money on them to win the WC.

Now that he is at Argentina will have to put money on them........
