morata is a safe investment. if we need cash, and/or any of our young strikers turns out to be a beast, and/or he wants to leave, we'll easily get 45-50m for him anytime in the next 4-5 years. i'm usually against expensive signings, but in this case, i'd say go for it, bepps.

Glad Real are not really planning to use him. That woulda been the major block. I think they will eventually agree and settle for a lower price. Happy days.

Most are baseless rumours anyway, and if Arsenal end up with Vardy then we should be good on that front. I see why we are taking our time here.

It would all depend on what other clubs are offering.
Well Morata said he is not planning to go to real madrid just to be sold to a team he doesnt wanna go.

real madrid have a good relationship with us and i hope they take morata´s will into account... but im being hopeful here.

We already tested him and we know he is class. backed up with even more skilled players in the upcoming season will make him play even better.

He is made for us, i think we need to invest.

What where the exact words from Marotta when asked about Morata last time? Something like we will do the impossible to keep him. Now I have hopes about him staying again :sigh:

It's 65m for them but 55m paid for us, still too much. I rate him as 40-45m.
I would be fine with +30 mil if it was paid over 3 years.

50-55 mil for Morata would be about what a player of his age, potential, and CL pedigree is worth.

People are still forgetting how well-rounded he is, and just how talented a playmaker he is. Double digit assists this past year don't lie.

The guy hasn't even reached his potential yet. A full year playing with Pogba, Dybala, Sandro, Alves, and maybe someone like Pjanic he can have a breakout year in Italy and CL. If we can get him for 30-35 million right now we shouldn't pass this opportunity up. He will easily be worth 75-80 million in a couple of years if he reaches his potential.

Who would you replace him with for 65M?
for €65m? what? we won't spend that on 1 striker. also there is no need to spend that big.

Mandzu - Dybala is as good as it get's. just bring in Berardi for ≈ €20m, and maybe a young prospect like Ikone and i'm ok with it.

just imagine Beppe signing a 23 year old with Morata's stats for combined €65m
Tuz to implode once again.

that's the best possible outcome. but what if he stagnates?
