Morata: "Alves is one of the best footballers in the World. I would like to play with him at Juve. I'd like to have him as a teammate." CdS

Morata: "This year will be your last year in Italy? I don't know but I hope not. I'm not in hurry to talk about my future."

Morata: "I'm calm because I've a contract with one of the best clubs in the world."

Morata: "Real Madrid would not send me to a club against my will.

If by some miracle we actually gets to keep Morata, Mandzu needs to hit the bench. I love his grinta but Morata gives us another dimension when he is in form. Do it Beppe.

Can we quit with the Mandzu needs to hit the bench nonsense?

Morata has not shown that he can lead our attack in Serie A against parked bus teams. He's shown that he's a far better SS in Serie A than a CF. This is obvious by the way he clicks better with both Mandzu and Zaza than he does with Dybala in the league. Could this change? Sure. But until it does Mandzu is a better CF in league matches.

Buffon
Barzagli Bonucci Chiellini
Dani Alves Khedira Pogba Alex Sandro
Dybala Morata
Mandzukic

Destroy!
Great team but in my book it would limit Pogba to much. Rather buy a starting material CM and play him with Pogba, Marchisio when he is back (Lemina temporarely) and Pjanic/Gomes in a 3 man mid.

I kind of agree with you, but then again Dybala and Morata has not played enough together to establish any kind of understanding and continuity. I would like to see them get a run of games together. On of Allegri's biggest strenghts is to twirk hes tactics to the players available. In theory a Morata and Dybala partnership should work given their caracteristics and we should focus on finding a way to make it work so that we could field our best players.

The best performing player that fits the tactic starts, basically.

Either Real or Juve then surely.I am still controlling myself.

Seriously I'd be immensely upset if he goes. I know it's out of our hands and there was always a chance he would end up leaving. I'd be happy even if he stays for one more season but he needs to stay. Love this guy but sorry alvaro I hope he flops at euros so real decide against taking him.

    Evil.. very evil.

So if he's refusing everyone but us and Madrid, and Madrid only wants him so they can sell him on, then the opportunity for us to give them money (and perhaps less than Arsenal would) must be a real possibility.

If Real were to buy him back for 30M and sell him for 50M, they'd get 20M profit. I'm sure we can come up with that and end this saga.

I agree with this to a certain extent, but the 2 did play together often enough during the middle part of the season. Morata doesn't have CF instincts yet in Serie A. He drifts deep to try to find space more like a second striker, and more often than not when Dybala and Morata played together this led to disorganized attacks and no one really being forward putting pressure on the back line. The problem with that is we can't play a counterattack style in Serie A, which I see Morata-Dybala partnership being incredible at in Europe. We could potentially play it against teams like Napoli or Roma that might be foolish enough to keep possession and allow us to hit on the counter.

Allegri is a great tactician. If Morata stays, he will be used in the way Allegri sees fit, and I'm going to trust him on that.

    I'm not, absolutely not.

It was a bitter pill when i read it at work and wasnt interested in anything that evening, tried to cope with it and move on. (i really fucking like morata).

Now this. This saga is going to destroy my inner self if it doesnt end soon. I'm refusing to believe all this.

They did get a run of games together in the middle of the season, when Morata had a total lack of confidence and he basically played like shit no matter who was next to him. I get your point about Morata dropping deep, which he also did a lot last year when he played with Tevez, who had the same role as Dybala this year, and last year it did not interupt our game plan. I also agree that there are no free tickets, but even when Morata returned to form in the last part of the season, he was benched in the big matches for Dybala and Madzu, even though he was clearly our best CF and he never got a chance to play with Dybala.
