He's going through a bad spell, but he'll come good in the end. Form is temporary class is permanent. The kid is a champion.

Still can't get over his misses vs Sevilla. The one miss no one is talking about that was just as bad as the miss from Dybala's header afterwards was when he was through on goal but slowed down and oddly let the defender get in front of him for some reason, tried to cut past him when another defender showed up, and then, he just dove. Missed a header at the start of the game too from Marchisio's cross that he should have at least put on target. 3 big chances missed in the first 25 mins alone.

This performance is on par with Zaza's vs Napoli as the worst by a striker this season.

more likely is an attempt to prove our intentions to keep him, and i think with his renewal his wage changed also.
This. Juve extends his contract when he goes trough his darkes houre at the club. We showed again we have faith in the player.

The confidence we show in him could help him to retake his form, and decision to stay or go

All I now want is allegri and marotta to come out and publically confirm their confidence in the player and this beeing the reason for extention

I've seen trezeguet missing easier chances than alvaro in my days, and before the internet no one panicked about it. But i do like the timing of the renewal, kind of assurance for him and warning to madrid, hope he gets back to scoring important goals soon

We already offered him this contract at the beginning of the season. I remember talks of this contract after the first City game. It's interesting though that he signed right after the Sevilla game.

Previously, his contract was extended once over the summer in a 2.5m per season till 2019 deal.

Last season, he earned only 1m, and that contract was due to expire in 2018.

Morata will be back to being clutch, but Trezeguet never missed 4-5 good chances in a game.

It wasn't a matter of luck. He was in poor form/mindset. It was as if it didn't matter how many chances he had, he was going to miss them all.
