Again, that's too one sided coz Mandzukic was absolute dog $#@!e and got playing time despite not scoring and missing chances so I don't see the point there.
Mandzukic wasnt playing that much in the beginning, specially not when we had everyone fit. he got to play regularly only the last few games

Not that I don't want to. You're being too harsh on somebody who hasn't necessarily had the confidence of the coach, at times questionably. The striker is a beast, and skill for skill 'miles ahead' of Mandzukic, even though I am a fan of the latter. But I fully understand this is about confidence, and not about ability.

I was having faith in him to score a goal somewhere in the game. Very disappointed he didnt.

Unpopular opinion : if he was on the bench, i'd have put zaza on somewhere in the second half.
Zaza has taken his chances. Mandzukic has taken his. If Morata wants to be a starter again he needs to do the same.

believe me I agree Morata is more complete than Mandzukic. At the end of the day I want my strikers to score and one is and the other isn't. Morata deserves the criticism tonight. Trust me, I adore Morata but damn where is the Morata from last year? It's December now...

You don't bench the one striker you have that's scoring regularly simply because you want another one to gain in confidence.

Period.

Morata had his chance tonight and failed. Players on the bench need to take their chances and tonight he didn't.
Yet we benched Dybala when he's scoring goals, and we benched Morata for 4/5 games hen he had a better run of games than Mandzukic. We continued playing Mandzukic when he was shit.

Scoring is as much about confidence as anything else, Morata needs to play, give gim the same run of games we gave mandzukic and he'll score as much. We play better with him as a team that's for sure.

Zaza should never play for us again.

This guy missed at least two sitters tonight. After scoring the most crucial Juve goals of last season. Do you really think he's the kind of player you are going to be criticising in the long run? Highly unlikely. It's a temporary phase. You're right, it is December, but he didn't play a lot of November/October, and if he did it was too bit part. All I'm saying is, if we don't give him the continuity and no second chances, we would be affecting his temperament. And that is huge part of every striker's mental makeup, even more so the ones who are younger and coming into their own. Give this guy a run of 2-3 games on a confident team and he will be right up there in no time.

Difficult decision. I just cant help feel that if we are trying to make a push for the scudetto and especially the Champions League we need Morata on top of his game. Even a Mandzu firing on all cylinders wont bring us trophies this year.

You are a persistent guy, I'll give you that. Just like with Quags, defending an indefensible position.
