It's a vicious cycl really. He's still miles ahead of Mandzukic. The difference is Allegri would give Mario the benefit, he probably won't give Alvaro. The guy is clearly not calm. Playing with pressure coz he's been on the bench for a while. Tad bit unclucky tonight, got into some good positions. And should've had a hat trick.
Ahead of Mandzukic? LOLwut

Sure but not by miles.

and sadly only one is doing their job

Morata in his match rhythm has so much more to offer. Despite a relatively quiet game in the second half, he still got into good positions. Many more facets to his game but Allegri likes the more conventional CF like Mandzukic. Unidimensional, the ones who stretch the defence and important off the ball movement. Morata is currently under pressure coz he knows he's under the scanner and for a striker, everyone comes down to one thing. Confidence.

Like I said, we are judging a confident Mandzukic at this time. Morata is short of that confidence because he has no match rhythmn. Give him game time like Mario and he's a different player. We all know that. Not sure if any of you saw the Mandzukic at the start of the season. Zaza was better than him. But Allegri gave him time to find his rhythm.
Stop making excuses for Morata. Mandzukic has zero rhythm in just about anything but would have buried those sitters.

Excuses for what? I said first up, he should've had a hat trick tonight. Got into good positions, but he's playing under pressure and strikers fuck shit up like that. Off night. Hee haw.

If what you say is true, that Morata is miles ahead of Mandzukic, then the pressure shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Welcome to a big club where you have to fight for your spot. Can't handle the pressure? Then leave.

Wow, what shit fans some of you are.

The lad is very young and could be one of the best strikers in the game in a few years time. He needs support from his own fans, not blaming everything that went wrong tonight on him.

How fast you forget the goal against City.

Mandzukic was way shittier than Morata tonight before he got into the rythm of the team. At least Morata is a danger, Mandzo was invisible for a few games.

You're making it too simplistic. I didn't see you criticise Mandzukic this season, when he was the worst striker at the club, and Zaza was deserving starts ahead of him. Everything is not always in favour of the club or the coach. Players need time to grow and they must have the confidence of the coach. Match rhythm and confidence are required even by experienced players. All I'm saying is, we gave Mario that room. About time Allegri shows Morata the same patience and that just implies a run of 3-4 games to find his confidence again.

He is not. He can be miles ahead, but he is not. Mandzukic is clinical and scoring goals. Morata works hard but misses goals. And today, those misses can very well cost us a quarter final qualification.

You don't bench the one striker you have that's scoring regularly simply because you want another one to gain in confidence.

Period.

Morata had his chance tonight and failed. Players on the bench need to take their chances and tonight he didn't.

No one's saying he's a bad player or anything, but he's had a really shit game today

Sure, Morata is better than Mandzukic, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't take the fall for tonight. Hands down lost us the match today.

The Morata I have seen at Juve at his best is miles ahead of the Mandzukic I have seen at Juve. It's true. In fact I'd even go as far as saying that he was unfairly benched in the opening rounds of the season when Mandzukic played like turd. Those misses are not the only rthings that cost us the QF qualification. It was our mentality. Something that you'll always find in Italian clubs. They will find a way to lose from a strong position. Whether it's overconfidence, lackadaisical, call it what you will. Let's not pin the blame on a striker or Allegri. It is our mindset. As for Morata per se, I don't know if you can tell but he's not at his best right now and it's wrong to slaughter him for that coz all players go through that.

Again, that's too one sided coz Mandzukic was absolute dog shite and got playing time despite not scoring and missing chances so I don't see the point there.
